How do you "carry" your sea pass around?

I used to go pockets exclusively, but kept having problems demagnetizing cards, so I moved to the lanyard after spending too much valuable time standing in line at Guest Services for a new card. I've never gone back.

I have to wear a badge at work and I often buy a lanyard with bling on the ship to take home to wear to work. Because I wear a lanyard every day to work, I put my card in my pocket on a cruise. I take a break from wearing a lanyard on vacation. Though I do not see what people think is wrong with lanyards. Obviously, my nerd tolerance level is quite high.

Hi! Would like to know if Royal provides some kind of "device" (like a necklace) to carry your seapass around...? :)

My DDs will certainly not carry a purse/beach bag around the ship and I'm afraid the cards will be lost within a day or two..... Not fun!!

Any tricks you came-up withnthat you can share? Thanks!

Mel

We have it punched then attach it to a retractable I.d. Holder. It works great. DS clips it to his belt loop so he doesn't lose it. I clip it to the handle of my bag. No fuss trying to find your card.

We use ones like this...

On our first cruise, I just kept giving my sea card to my DH if I had nothing to carry it in. I don't use any pocketbook in the evening, so DH had to carry it most of the time. During the day, I tossed it in my pool bag that I would have with me. My gym shorts always had a zipper pocket back then.

Over the years, I had more difficulty buying shorts with a zippered pocket that were fast drying material. Those came in very handy when we traveled to Israel one summer. I found on one of our cruises a Majesty of the Seas, small zipper case on a lanyard. It had a place to slide my Sea Pass and a place to keep a few dollars or lip gloss -- it was great.

I use it quite a bit, no matter what ship we are on. I have never seen this style ever again for sale.

Every time, I try to just put the Sea Pass in a pocket, I lose it. My jeans just don't have pockets that are very deep, I guess. DH and I are not always at the same place all evening long, so I found I needed to carry my SeaPass myself more often.

Last year I used a simple lanyard with a hole punched in my Sea Pass.

Most women don't like them because they 'detract from their outfit' -- I just take it off for pictures.

Lanyard (on the ship) or the waterproof case (if we were going in the water/beach). We're Diamond and regardless of the comments from those that wouldn't think of wearing a lanyard, it's convenient and we love it always being handy and our hands free. Wouldn't want to depend on having to ask someone to carry it for me or to scrounge through any sort of bag. I don't use a lanyard on formal night. I put it in my evening bag, but that's the only exception.

I've already told you where I keep my seapass. DH will wear his on a lanyard. In the cabin, I pack a few of these (they unzip and fold flat), keeping one on the main vanity so we can throw our cards, seapasses, etc. in and we'll know where everything is:

I got them when we cruised Allure, since I had read that their nightstands don't have drawers. They've been a staple of our packing and have come in handy. I usually pack just three.

I wouldn't be caught dead walking around wearing the Sea Pass around my neck, and I've stood fast on that thinking over many cruises.

I'll second that. I do usually use a lanyard, looped through a belt or loot and stuck in my pocket.

I was disappointed that the night stands in our Allure cabin did not have drawers. Drawers are handy in a night stand....they opted for the less expensive furniture choice which meant no drawer.

I get my sea pass card hole punched and attach to a lanyard. Then for me, I loop it around a "D" ring or belt loop and put in my pants or cargo shorts pocket.

When I need to use, I pull it out and put in door, let go and go into cabin with my stuff if applicable. Then put back into pocket. When needing to use to obtain great stuff on board, I pull out, remove from lanyard, let staff swipe and then put back on lanyard.

Others may not like lanyards, but I lost a sea pass card and since then have not, so for me it works! :) I too do not think I want a lanyard hanging around my neck out in the open, but I too do not want to lose one.

It depends on what we are doing.

If I am with my husband, I put mine in his pocket.

I am always with my husband.

Therefore it is in his pocket:D.

It comes out of his pocket when we get on and off the ship.

Then it goes into his pocket again.

If my husband does not have pockets (not)

Then I carry, cannot remember when I had to carry.

Also, I do have a pretty glittery lanyard, why I dont know.:D

However you choose to carry your Seapass card, the most important thing is to have it at the ready when getting off and back on the ship in port. :)

And getting off the ship at the end of your journey! Getting off my recent HAL cruise, the number of people who got to the gangway to disembark who had packed their card was shocking. Clearly they didn't watch the disembarkation tutorial on the television. (Granted, nowhere near as amusing as Christiaan's disembarkation video on the Disney Dream (I've only had him as CD so I don't know how the others are on DCL), but still informative. And included DO NOT PACK YOUR CARD.)

ALL I'll be wearing on the ship is my lanyard.;)
Well, you're sure to be popular onboard!

Seriously, though, all my shorts and cover ups have pockets (not at all difficult to find). The only time I might be pocket-free is dinner, and then I'll be with my husband . . . So no need for a lanyard. I've never demagnetized a card, never lost my card, never had a problem pulling it out of my pocket when I need it.

In my pocket. If I do not have pockets, then I put it in my husband's pocket. In the evening, I carry a small wristlet handbag for my camera and eyeglasses.

The sea pass on neck looks so tacky, especially on adults. Especially in ports, I saw some still wearing them around their necks. That screams tourist.

I use a wrist wallet, made of a material similar to a swimsuit. It holds seapass, a credit card or two, and some cash (not coins).

Its the only kind of wallet I use when traveling. I even have one with rhinestones for formal night.

Always conveniently located, can go into the pool or ocean rather than left sitting unattended while I swim. Can't be pickpocketed.

I like the smaller size that is perfect for credit card, drivers license, seapass.

There is a larger size that hold a cellphone.

I can't imagine myself being with my husband EVERYWHERE on the ship at all times...just not realistic -- he and I like to do different things.

We usually go to the casino as soon as it opens. They punch a hole in the card and add a nice stretch belt clip (not sure what its called). Then we can clip to a belt and put in a pocket and don't have to worry about it coming out and losing it...You can also make a necklace or a wristband out of as its curly and stretch. I even seen some people clip it around their waist for a fashion statement. That works well in the pool when your bathing suit has no pockets.

But I will warn you watch you don't catch it on something because you will be across the room with it stretched out
