morehay Posted August 21, 2014 #1 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I saw mention of this somewhere but didn't know when or what will be done. Does anyone have any details?
Clarea Posted August 21, 2014 #2 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I believe it's scheduled for Spring 2015, and will get similar upgrades as Navigator got. No official info from Royal yet, except for the show changing to Hairspray.

Johndoe813 Posted August 21, 2014 #4 Share Posted August 21, 2014 I heard spring of 2015 also. I think that the link that was posted is upgrades that were done without going into drydock.

Ship faced Posted August 21, 2014 #7 Share Posted August 21, 2014 Ryano is correct. My B2B in January were both cancelled because of the drydock. Gerry

littlesteelo Posted August 21, 2014 #10 Share Posted August 21, 2014 She should have been done http://www.royalcaribbean.com/contentSitelet.do?pagename=revitalizations True, but that was back in 2011. It's now getting near the time when she needs to go in again for a refit.
ryano Posted August 21, 2014 #11 Share Posted August 21, 2014 You are correct. Drydock is January 2015. Good! I booked for April 2015 in full hopes of her being all spruced up and hopefully Izumi and Sabor in place :)

springaussie Posted August 21, 2014 #13 Share Posted August 21, 2014 (edited) I think you guys are right. Somehow I thought Freedom's dry dock was after Explorer. Sorry.:o When Explorer of the Seas cruises were first released for Port Canaveral they finished early January. Then extras were added to early March 2015. At one stage Explorer may have been going to dry dock first. The next cruise departs on February 1, so it looks like a 24 day dry dock.

SherriZ366 Posted August 23, 2014 #24 Share Posted August 23, 2014 They are doing the drydock earlier than they intended as FR had azipod problems. Our May 4, 2014 sailing was delayed in leaving about 90 minutes as they had divers repairing the azipods. We were originally booked for 1-25-2015 and we had to switch to Feb. 22, 2015.
