What do you like to do FIRST!

If I am on a ship with the Mongolian grill, I head there as soon as I drop off my bags and eat as much as I can hold. Then I can ignore the long line that eventually forms for the rest of the cruise.

 

Too funny...this is exactly what we do!! The lines are insane after the first day.

I am Diamond so I'll drop my bags off in my cabin and go to the lido to get some chow maybe have a drink since I have a $249.00 OBC. I don't think I'll run out of cash for drinks.

We stop at the lobby bar and have our first "Umbrella Drink" usually the drink of the day. We find the entertainment there is great. Usually a soloist or a duo playing some laid back music we really enjoy. WE sit back and know we are on vacation. We just enjoy watching everyone as they enter the ship...It's either RUSH.RUSH.RUSH or a mouth opening silence. I Figure there is plenty of time to see the room, explore the ship and certainly more than enough opportunities to eat.

We love going straight up to the lido pool bar, getting a cocktail, looking at each other and saying, "We made it! We're HERE!!!". Such an awesome moment!

Go to the cabin to drop off my carry-on stuff. Then to the Lido buffet for lunch, followed by either a DOD and look for friends or back to the cabin to unpack and wait for the muster drill.

Like many have said, drop off carry ons and head to Lido for DOD & lunch. However, it is our tradition that DH gets lunch from the buffet & I have lunch from the Deli. I've had a pastrami & corned beef sandwich every one of our cruises on CCL on the first day!:D And DH wears the same shirt the first day of every cruise. It's a Ralph Lauren Hawaiian shirt pictured above!:D

First thing I do is take in that wonderful cruise ship smell....:D Then we go straight to our cabin and hang up all the clothes in our carry-ons, then we head off in search of lunch. After that we explore the ship, find out where everything is and take 500 pictures -- even if we've been on that ship before. Then I pick up a couple of wine glasses from the Atrium bar for my wine.

 

Then we find our Roll Call M&G, then it's time for the muster drill.

We usually eat first then when our room is ready drop off our back packs. I like to unpack as soon as the luggage is there and do all my ironing too. I don't want to be bothered by it later.

We usually board before the cabins are ready. DW goes to a bar and order drinks for us while I go the purser's desk to have our SS cards punched.

 

Such a happy time! :D

The first thing we do is drop off our carry-on items in our cabin (platinum) then we head to the lido for lunch. The option of choice is always fish and chips if we are on a Conquest class ship.

Usually arrive at the port about 1pm. We don't buy FTTF but still drop our few carry-on's in our cabin anyway. Then off to the Italian restaurant for lunch, getting there just before the 2pm closing time. The to the casino cage to punch our SS card. Then to the spa ( we get the spa cabins) to get our wristbands and sign up for the raffles. Then back to the cabin to wait for the muster. Usually get unpacked before 6pm dinner.

Drop stuff off in the cabin, head to the Lido for a quick lunch, back to the cabin for a good nap before they bang on the door multiple times to attend the muster drill.

Last time we boarded around noon and had lunch at the buffet and then checked out our room, stayed there for a bit and then went up on deck when it was time to set sail.

Wish we would have done more...so THIS time we plan to grab a drink on the Lido deck and hopefully grab Guy's Burgers (is it open when you first get on ship?!) and then head back to our room to change into our swim suits and relax by the pool until it's time to set sail and watch as we head towards paradise (:

After sailing off we might explore a little and then get ready for dinner (possibly the steakhouse...we aren't sure yet!)

Get food is always first stop. Getting S&S cards punched is usually near the top of the list...we usually like to go to a high deck a explore the port from the boat..watch people board that type of thing

Oops forgot to mention get a drink. All that walking and people watching makes us thirsty.

What is the purpose of having the SS cards punched?

 

To be able to attach to a lanyard which you can wear around your neck. Instead of carrying around in pocket or purse.
