LuCruise Posted February 11, 2015 #1 Share Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) Thought I'd start a fun thread. What is your favorite show ,activity, or thing to do on the ship? Ice Shows? FlowRider? Broadway show? Love & Marriage game? Spa? Relaxing at the pool? Excursions? Specialty dinners? Shopping at Promenade? Karaoke? Gambling at Casino? Bingo? Headliner show? DreamWorks Parades? Aqua Shows? H20 Zone? Night Time Dancing? MDR each night? People Watching on Deck...just naming a few that come to mind.... For me, I am most excited about the DreamWorks parades and experience with my kids, the dining room every night and daily show....and just seeing our kids excitement. Toddcan Posted February 11, 2015 #2 Share Posted February 11, 2015 (edited) We are still relatively "new" to cruising, having only done 6 cruises, so we still find everything exciting. We have many favourites, but we make sure not to miss: Quest Love & Marriage Show Welcome Aboard Show Headliner show Main production show Ice Show Sea Days at the Solarium and/or our balcony reading a book. At least one afternoon nap ( BEST feeling in the world is waking up from a nap and realize it's still daytime, and you are on a cruise!) Edit.. I should probably mention that it only took us ONE cruise to know we needed to SKIP the Port Excursion "show" or whatever they call that information session - usually held in a theatre, Studio One, or other large venue - giving the illusion that it's something worthwhile :P Edited February 11, 2015 by Toddcan
samzgirl84 Posted February 11, 2015 #3 Share Posted February 11, 2015 If I am on a ship with a heated pool (closed Solarium) I love to spend time in the pool swimming and floating. If the pool is too cold, my favorite activity is the ice show or reading in a quiet spot.

And the relaxing of course is nice too on vacation. Thanks for the tip about skipping the port excursion 'show'. Enjoy your cruise coming up! tip Posted February 11, 2015 #7 Share Posted February 11, 2015 Just plain relaxing! I enjoy reading on my balcony. I enjoy watching the sea go by. I do not need constant non-stop activity and entertainment!

LuCruise Posted February 11, 2015 Author #9 Share Posted February 11, 2015 The Solarium seems to be a common item. Is it more relaxing than other areas? My understanding is that kids aren't allowed (so guessing quieter)?
TonyBuzz Posted February 11, 2015 #10 Share Posted February 11, 2015 Best show I have ever seen at sea was the Aqua show on Allure. Truly breathtaking. We always enjoy the ice shows as well. Love & Marriage and Quest come right after. On Voyager Class ships my wife's favorite spot is the large (often unused) hot tub in the gym. She visits every day and is often the only one in the tub. Fun threads are GREAT -- Where do I start: Karaoke and Flowrider are tied Love and Marriage MDR Izumi (if ship has it of course) Production show (the talent amazes me, and how often they use very little props/set design) -- I am easily entertained (I like Karaoke) People watching -- it is much more fun to do on a cruise (most things are more fun to do on a cruise) Parades of any kind.... Any time dancing just breaks out in an area of the ship, that I am in.

lovethesun1960 Posted February 12, 2015 #20 Share Posted February 12, 2015 Solarium, Viking Crown Lounge, whatever coffee shop is around and our balcony is where we spend the most time besides meals. This time I am going to actually try to make it to yoga classes and trivia nights. The ocean rocks me to sleep and I sleep late and am tired early, but I will do better. I have to. Duke Mazer Posted February 12, 2015 #22 Share Posted February 12, 2015 All the attractions and shows yes but best for me. Finding that moment when times slows down, feel a breeze in your hair have look out to the blue sky and blue ocean view take away all the noise in world, all the rush, all the slings and arrow and just a moment of peace and joy.
