shazzygirl67 Posted May 14, 2015 #176 Share Posted May 14, 2015 So I wonder if she'll still come down under at all. It was announced yesterday that she will go to Tauranga instead. avalon007 Posted May 14, 2015 #177 Share Posted May 14, 2015 Wish they would hurry up & announce the cruises she will be doing.:) I received a teaser email last week as follows: "Thank you for registering your interest in our newest ship, Ovation of the Seas. With your exclusive registration, you'll get the inside scoop on sale dates and exclusive offers. Stay tuned to hear more about the next big adventure in cruising. The dream is coming your way." They made the bold emphasis on 'exclusive registration', so will be interesting to see how far ahead we get notice compared to the public release, what the 'exclusive' offers will be & if they are C&A membership related or not? Any ideas?
DavidLange_Cruisero Posted May 15, 2015 #178 Share Posted May 15, 2015 This news has made my day. Imagine being on the North Star in Milford Sound! No matter where she is sailing, I'll be booking as soon as booking open. I'll be doing the same. Booking no matter what. Have you sailed royal before

What looked so great - some new itineraries going to new ports? Wish they would release the Ovation cruises though, surely it has to be soon, although someone did post I believe they have given NZ to the end of May to get their port facilities sorted, so that takes us into next week at the very least I guess.
Kiwi_cruiser Posted May 27, 2015 Author #181 Share Posted May 27, 2015 Ovation release has been pushed back as they are still finalising the itineraries. No eta. I suspect that could be because RCI are waiting for the Port of Auckland to sort out them self.

qbay46 Posted May 28, 2015 #187 Share Posted May 28, 2015 I have had a couple of overnite stays in Singapore before, have always found something interesting to do, just wondering around and trying the food from the stalls is very interesting. There one night and had a thunder storm that was very memorable, look fantastic from the back of the ship. avalon007 Posted May 29, 2015 #192 Share Posted May 29, 2015 Finally Tonga is on the Royal cruise schedule, but bummer that cruise ends in Auckland! After Ovations debut which will be a cruise for the ship for most of us not the ports, I'm looking at having to fly/cruise again, unless Princess does a big makeover or swap over on the ships they are using for their long haul cruises out of Sydney. The port offerings locally are getting a bit boring, hope Tonga will feature in more of their cruises. Why Royal can't offer us say a 21-28 day cruise Sydney-Asia-Sydney I don't know? Just a one off per season even - I'm sure they would sell out in no time with all us regular cruisers looking for alternative ports.

At least we can still cruise, we just have to ensure Syd-Syd and by fussy about cabin location. So can't grumble.
