Just got upgraded to a Sky Suite from a concierge aft cabin on our 12 night Baltic/Russia cruise. First upgrade for us. We like it!

Upgrade was no charge. We sail in 10 days. We booked this cruise 18 months ago while onboard a Celebrity cruise. We have cruised about 20 times and this is our first upgrade.

You were upgraded from a regularly booked cabin rather than a GTY? That would be very, very, very rare indeed, especially for someone who is a long-time Celebrity cruiser. You only hear of that happening to first time cruisers, and even then it is very rare.

That is indeed what has happened. We had actually selected a specific concierge cabin when we booked. I had already received the luggage tags for the other room when our TA was notified by Celebrity of the change.

 

We are very surprised and excited.
