suzyluvs2cruise Posted October 8, 2015 #451 Share Posted October 8, 2015 At the M&M the CD John Blair asked if people would have preferred more at sea days on this cruise. He started giving different scenarios and asking who would like them. Someone finally said just make it a west coast cruise and any itinerary will be fine. [emoji2] Sent from my Galaxy Note 3 using Tapatalk I'd like to see an alternating Coastal and Mexico. Would make for great b2b cruises. I hope everyone who wants RCI to have a presence on the West Coast mentions this in their post cruise survey.
PCWalton1 Posted October 8, 2015 Author #452 Share Posted October 8, 2015 Just a quick observation about the one at sea day, both this week and last. We have been surprised in the total lack of activities both pool side and in the centrum. The only thing scheduled in either place was a tee shirt sale on the pool deck. The centrum has been a ghost town. Sent from my Galaxy Note 3 using Tapatalk

Rare BillOh Posted October 8, 2015 #454 Share Posted October 8, 2015 Sparsely attended Meet & Mingle. Sent from my Galaxy Note 3 using Tapatalk Hey, I recognize that lady as one of the Arizona cruisers I've cruised with before. More of her group are coming next week for the canal transit. Captain Johnny proposed that when Mariner was out there doing the Mexican Riviera in 2009-2010, but nothing came of it.

cavydad Posted October 8, 2015 #461 Share Posted October 8, 2015 So tonight we give up on the nightly diamond event. We tried for 20 minutes to get the waitress to take our drink order to no avail. Normally I am ok with that and just go to the bar. But twice I got her attention in attempts to order, she acknowledged then walked away. Both times when she came back she once again took orders for the tables around then skipped by us. I signaled to a waiter by the bar to try to get service. He went to that waitress, pointed to our table and once again she walked away. The whole time the LA Maria was chatting up a table a couple down from us, I mentioned to her on the way out they should work on the wait staff up there but she looked at me like I was talking in another language. I may have been a little short with her but I was frustrated by then. So we are down in the Schooner Bar were they seem to like us. [emoji4] Sent from my Galaxy Note 3 using Tapatalk We gave up on the Diamond longe several nights ago. Cliquey and crowded and the wait staff was inattentive. We went to the Schooner longe where the bar staff is attentive and friendly. Perhaps the ship was not prepared for so many Diamond and above aboard the ship. Setting sail for fun Posted October 9, 2015 #465 Share Posted October 9, 2015 Have really enjoyed your review and photos. We don't always enjoy the Diamond Lounge. It depends on the ship and how crowded it is. Our last cruise on Indy, we did not go at all because we heard it was crowded and many times standing room only. The cruise before that one was Legend and they opened the area to include the Crown Viking and we went every night! Sorry you did not have a good experience. Thanks for taking the time to share your cruise with us!

travelgoddess1 Posted October 9, 2015 #473 Share Posted October 9, 2015 It was very enjoyable to walk along the path, wish we had started earlier. Most people were friendly with the exception of a few maniacal bicyclists. It was all good. :) We saw you on the walk to Cannery Row and the Aquarium -- approximately 1.5 miles each way, BTW. :) I couldn't get your attention, you were taking some of those lovely photos you posted. So tonight we give up on the nightly diamond event. We tried for 20 minutes to get the waitress to take our drink order to no avail. Normally I am ok with that and just go to the bar. [emoji4] Sent from my Galaxy Note 3 using Tapatalk We had a bit of trouble last week, as well -- I usually got up to get what I wanted at the bar, but I certainly understand your frustration. This week we have been in the Hollywood Odyssey, sorry we have not connected with you. I did see you in the SB, now I understand why. Not sure what the problem is up in the Vortex, but please know it is NOT you. :)

The exception would be the wine I like.....Moscato. It's not included in the Diamond event, I can get it if I buy it at 25% off. HOWEVER, I can go down to the casino bar (5-8 pm) and get it comped....go figure. Another example of the inconsistent RC problems. ***
