GRACECRUISE Posted October 25, 2015 #7 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Love the addition of Thai Doughnuts for dessert, though usually to full after the Wasibi Beef. We are eating there in 6 weeks. Can hardly wait!

Rare POA1 Posted October 25, 2015 #9 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Thanks POA1 and cruz chic! Much appreciated. Thank Cruz Chic. She's the one that took the time to take the photos. :) Maybe you can credit me with an assist. I'm interested to see what she thinks of the new menu. I think Krazy Kruizers is on the Eurodam, and she's a Tamarind fan. It'll be good to get feedback from some trusted sources.
Cruising-along Posted October 25, 2015 #10 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Yum!! I've only had lunch in the Tamarind, now I see why everyone says dinner is so much better. Thank you Cruz Chic and POA1! :)

I tried the lobster and I'm not a fan. It was mushy and salty. I didn't mention it to them. I'm going to have to try those doughnuts tonight to take one for the team :D;). I tried the chicken and rice soup. It was a bit bland. I'm going to have to start wearing yoga pants for dinner. My pants have all shrunk from the salt air. cruz chic Posted October 25, 2015 Author #15 Share Posted October 25, 2015 I'm sorry you didn't like the lobster, I enjoyed it. Maybe it's a bad bunch. I know someone else that tried it and thought the same. The lobster in the MDR was very good.
Rare Crazy For Cats Posted October 25, 2015 #16 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Thank you for posting the new menu. It looks so good and wish I could have dinner there tonight. Wish they had this option on more of the ships.
CowPrincess Posted October 25, 2015 #17 Share Posted October 25, 2015 I have been waffling between Noordam and Nieuw Amsterdam for Alaska next year. I think the Tamarind menu just made my decision! :)

CowPrincess Posted October 25, 2015 #21 Share Posted October 25, 2015 Ditto! I really do wish HAL could shoehorn Tamarind into the rest of the fleet! I agree. There has to be space that, while not vacant, is non-revenue-producing. Or excruciatingly low-revenue-producing (e.g., Mirabelle....) that could be re purposed ;)

jtl513 Posted October 25, 2015 #25 Share Posted October 25, 2015 I'd like to see a "Tamarind night" in the PG on ships that don't have the real deal. It wouldn't have the same atmosphere, but the menu could be close enough.
