newxmascruiser Posted November 1, 2015 #4 Share Posted November 1, 2015 Breakfast is always good as comes within a time slot so it's a great alarm call! The pastries are always fresh and coffee hot! All other times the wait is long and most times whatever we have had delivered has been cold by the time we got it :( Oh the cookies are a good late night snack! champagne123 Posted November 1, 2015 #7 Share Posted November 1, 2015 Sounds great but I've never experienced room service like this on RCI. Were you sailing in a full suite? I think you are correct. This has never been on any of the room service menu's I have ever seen.
RocketMan275 Posted November 1, 2015 #8 Share Posted November 1, 2015 Sounds great but I've never experienced room service like this on RCI. Were you sailing in a full suite? CL is a Crown Loft Suite, ie, full suite.

cincicruisers Posted November 1, 2015 #10 Share Posted November 1, 2015 (edited) I love the cheese plate. Ordered daily to have wine and cheese whole getting ready for dinner. Looking forward to our next cruise in a suite to have in room dining from MDR. Edited November 1, 2015 by cincicruisers
champagne123 Posted November 1, 2015 #11 Share Posted November 1, 2015 Hope you are in a suite OP, or you are going to be VERY disappointed.
39august Posted November 1, 2015 #12 Share Posted November 1, 2015 Yes, that dinner is from the dining room menu, not room service and you must be in a grand suite or higher for that. I love the cheese plate and the hamburger is supposedly the best on board. I liked the salmon sandwich. I wouldn't say anything on the room service menu is a must do by any means! CL in this context is a Crown Loft Suite, so yes. don't laugh but I think the burger is an order of magnitude better from RS. Have my husband provide me with hand delivered pastries and coffee after his morning workout so I have yet to require RS delivery heheheh./
Mnamom1105 Posted November 1, 2015 #14 Share Posted November 1, 2015 We did room service several late evenings this last week on Freedom. SOFT chocolate chip cookies!!!!! Steak sandwich was AWESOME! (but fries were cold by the time they got to us).
ryano Posted November 2, 2015 #15 Share Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) I have good things about the burger. Got to be better than the Jammer burger like patties floating in that vat of grease :o Edited November 2, 2015 by ryano

Looking forward to our next cruise in a suite to have in room dining from MDR. I like the cheese plate too. :D We try to pick up a small box of crackers or Ritz in the embarkation port, because we like more crackers, than are provided. :D
derekmcsd Posted November 2, 2015 #17 Share Posted November 2, 2015 Bistro burger is my favorite! We get breakfast every morning too. Just be very specific. Checking the box does not mean an order of something. It means one. One creamer. One bacon. So on.
TheGaDawgFan Posted November 2, 2015 #18 Share Posted November 2, 2015 The bistro burger is the Johnny Rockets burger. DH and I swear.

Susie51 Posted November 2, 2015 #20 Share Posted November 2, 2015 Thank you for the room service suggestions. On our next cruise we will be in an OV room on Jewel OTS. Is there a Johnny Rockets type burger on the room service menu? Is there a charge for room service? Thank you for your help.
blueblock Posted November 2, 2015 #21 Share Posted November 2, 2015 There's a $3.95 fee for room service delivered between midnight and five a.m. Otherwise, no charge, but it's polite to tip the room service waiter. In my opinion, there's nothing on the regular room service menu that is a must try. (I've never tried the enhanced menu for full suites.) Room service breakfast can be convenient, though. TBone2K Posted November 2, 2015 #22 Share Posted November 2, 2015 (edited) Is there a Johnny Rockets type burger on the room service menu? Is there a charge for room service? There is a hamburger, quality varies in my experience. No change for room service from 5am-12am, but FYI their tips aren't included with your prepaid tip package. Most people give them $1 or $2. Back to the OP question, room service breakfast is our favourite, especially when we have a balcony room. DW loves the spinach dip as an afternoon snack. I like the steak sandwich.
