Cats on Oasis

Anyone know how long this show is going to be the Broadway show on Oasis? It was the show playing last time we were on Oasis (last year). We're sailing again this October and it would be nice to see something different.

I would think at least several years more.

Unless things go badly wrong, it should be there until the next dry dock.

It's expensive to change out shows. Costumes, sets, etc. That is why I was told there is still the same tired ice show on Freedom that has been there for years and years. Good show, but we don't go any longer.

 

I can only watch a repeat for just so long. ;)

Last week we did the behind the scenes tour and one of the Cats performers told us RCI has a 5 year contract for the show.

Saw it. Good show. Will be interesting to see how it may differ in production on Oasis.

Despite the length, we would definitely see it again!

Unless you have to leave at the break, I recommend you stick it out. Music is much better in the second half and story is a little easier to follow.

I think all you need to do is walk into the venue at intermission.

you can do that very easily. Just give it an hr after it starts and wait

I have heard the cruise line signs a 5 year contract on the show rights. Oasis came out in 2009 with HAIR (was it?) and 2014 seems about right for hearing about CATS, so my guess is 2019 will be something different. (pure guess)

We loved Hairspray on Oasis. Laughed through the whole thing. Cast was great.

 

Hair? ;) But actually I think Freedom (doing their same old ice show, but a good one)

does part of their act based on the movie/show Hair.

we have attended Cats twice on the Oasis and would see it again. There is a 5 year contract in place so it should be showing until the next dry dock.

Thanks, everyone. I guess we're watching Cats. We enjoyed it the first time but was hoping for a change. I had no idea about the five year contract. Good to know!
