Curse on Yeti Thief

Recommended Posts

To the "lady" who took my Yeti cup from the Casino restroom on the April 9 Carnival Freedom. Obviously you don't know about the curse inflicted on those who dare to steal a treasured Yeti.

You will gain 40 pounds. (One for each $ I paid for the cup.)

Your butt will double in size.

Your feet will swell and you'll get a cold sore every time you drink from it.

Your teeth will turn yellow and crack.

Your hair will turn gray and fall out.

You'll sprout a black mustache and chin hairs.

The next time you find an item on a cruise, do the honorable thing and turn it in to lost and found and I might consider lifting the curse.

I blame myself for being so stupid when I left it unattended for 5 minutes. I used to have trust in my fellow cruisers, never again.

I'm having the new one engraved with "STOLEN FROM (my name)" and it will never get to enjoy cruising!

Must have been quite a cup.

My kids got their dad a Yeti for his birthday, and I have an RTIC. They are staying home on our next cruise, for the very reason you mentioned. I don't think I can trust anyone not to walk off with them. I hate thieves!

Maybe a crew member or a passenger saw it unattended and brought it to guest services.

Sorry it happened to you, but I never leave anything unattended in a bathroom. If I have something with me, either I take it in the stall with me or I go back to the cabin.

My daughter won 2 of the smaller sizes at a convention, more like the size of a koozie/beer wrap and gave them to dear ole dad. LOVE them. I use them to keep beer/cokes cold and my coffee mug warm in the am. I can also make a nice drink in them.... They don't leave the house though.

So what is a Yeti and why the cost.... they are stainless steel and keep warm, warm and cold, cold and it really works. Best dang "drink cooler" out there.

The thief should be easy to spot! It seems my MIL got ahold of one nefariously in the past year or so...:D

Yeti's are so worth it.. well, not being cursed, but the price you have to pay for them. lol Seriously, so sorry someone took it.

I will make sure not to take mine cruising.

My Husband loves his too.

Just for the folks that wonder why we love them so much, a cup of piping hot coffee poured at 8am will still be hot at noon... no, really, it will. I am sure it would keep cold drinks super cold a really long time too, just haven't tried it yet with mine. I'm sure its the reason the Yeti ice chests start around 300$ too.

Thermos brands beats any Yeti hands down.

No way, no how. Did I forget to mention that was noon of the next day? Yes, sorry.. my bad.

Zojirushi > both

Try a temp test. You will then know Yeti is nothing more than creative marketing.

OP, did you happen to check at guest services to see if someone turned it in? I left our camera sitting on one of the sofas following trivia and it was gone by the time we got back to it. Checked at guest services and someone had turned it in to them.

I actually did the temperature test and proved the YETI to be superior to other brands. But I also leave mine at home, after having it powder coated and personalized, just take my Tervis onboard the ship instead. If you like the frozen drinks on the ship transferring them to the Tervis does keep them frozen longer and I do like ice cold beverages! I have filled a YETI before with a frozen beverage and literally kept it frozen until the last drop. Love YETI!

I checked with them several times not really expecting to get it back.
