shun Posted June 11, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 11, 2016 Going on Regal in March out of Fort Lauderdale, port or starboard side. Which on would you choose?
neverbeenhere Posted June 11, 2016 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2016 Outside vs inside? I'd go with outside. ;)
IECalCruiser Posted June 11, 2016 #3 Share Posted June 11, 2016 IMHO, it really doesn't make any difference.
paul929207 Posted June 11, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 11, 2016 For an east bound trans-Atlantic, you want the starboard side if you want sun. Port side if you do not. Beyond that I am not aware of any differences
Daisyloo Posted June 11, 2016 #5 Share Posted June 11, 2016 For the Caribbean ports I don't think it matters at all what side you pick. There is no way of telling whether your ship will pull in or back into it's berth at each port.
Rare LACruiser88 Posted June 11, 2016 #6 Share Posted June 11, 2016 No difference....
skynight Posted June 11, 2016 #7 Share Posted June 11, 2016 Going on Regal in March out of Fort Lauderdale, port or starboard side. Which on would you choose? No difference unless you select to stay in one of the mid ship mini suites under the sea walk. Port side minis are mostly protected from sea walk views by the Sea View Bar, while upper decks starboard side minis are not.
cb at sea Posted June 11, 2016 #8 Share Posted June 11, 2016 Doesn't matter...the captain will try and give equal time to each side...when possible.
jsmac3 Posted June 11, 2016 #9 Share Posted June 11, 2016 Most of the time, we opt for a port side cabin . . . we did sail out of Fort Lauderdale on the Grand during December in a starboard cabin and the Miami skyline was quite scenic. Of course, if you're up early returning to port, you should be able to see the same.

keithm Posted June 12, 2016 #14 Share Posted June 12, 2016 Going on Regal in March out of Fort Lauderdale, port or starboard side. Which on would you choose? We did an inside on our 14 day B2B in Feb. I think it depends on how much sun you like..
