ajmj Posted June 30, 2016 #1 Share Posted June 30, 2016 Anyone know if the rules have changed at Port Everglades allowing a case of water to be brought onboard? We were on Allure in March, but heard the Oasis may have current stricter rules. Thanks!

Thanks! It's not that the policy has changed...it's just where and on which ships it's enforced....However, many (including us) manage to bring water and or soda onboard...worth a try. gerif Posted June 30, 2016 #4 Share Posted June 30, 2016 Rules have never changed - it's the degree of enforcement that will vary from port to port and also by time of year.

Officially not allowed but usually not enforced. No way of knowing until you show up at the pier but the odds are that you will be fine.

frank808 Posted July 1, 2016 #13 Share Posted July 1, 2016 Officially not allowed. However there were friends in another cabin that had no problem bringing water on board. Heck i saw quiet a few families lugging cases of water before the cabin was ready. This was on allure leaving fort lauderdale the past 2 sundays june 19 and 26. Clarea Posted July 7, 2016 #15 Share Posted July 7, 2016 Can anyone confirm the number of bottles included in the water bottle package on Royal? Your choice, either 12 or 24 1L bottles.
sadoan Posted July 7, 2016 #16 Share Posted July 7, 2016 Both times we have cruised on the ship I slapped a luggage tag on a pack of water and 12 pack of Green Tea and they were delivered to our room.

Not sure about other ports but in Canaveral they will no longer allow this. All water, etc must be in your carry-on only....
rucruisn2 Posted July 7, 2016 #18 Share Posted July 7, 2016 There was an article in today's Sun Sentinel regarding bringing beverages onboard. It says NCL no longer allows it as does Royal. Can only bring 2 bottles of sealed wine, subject to corkage fee. They say it's because on too much baggage handling. Who knows if they will look the other way.
