Always love your reviews Jeff. You got me hooked on Splendor before I ever sailed on her.

 

I was on Sunshine on July 4 and am going again on the October 8.

Jeff, having read your reviews and now this, I have to tell you that you and your family are an inspiration. If I am ever fortunate enough to happen to be on the same cruise as you, I hope you'll let my wife and me buy a round of drinks for you and Patti.

 

On a sidenote, I can absolutely empathize with Patti not being able to cruise during the school year - my wife is a teacher too. Congrats to Patti on the retirement, and I hope you enjoy cruising in the offseason together! It'll be about another 35 years before we can enjoy retirement! :p

Jeff...I always love your reviews! Wonderful pictures....our first 7 day and first balcony was on the Destiny...January of 97:) I loved the copper walls! I think John Heald was our CD:D

 

We've done a 7 day on the Glory to Canada out of Boston but would love to do one out of New York....thanks so much for doing such great reviews...and super pics:):)

I almost took this cruise on Splendor last year, but chickened out, because I was fearful of travelling solo in New York City, given my mobility/walking problems. But some day I still hope to do this cruise. I did get to go on the Splendor just this past week, but Western Caribbean instead. Looking forward to the rest of your review:)

I remembered that you were cruising and had been looking forward to your review, so I'm happy to see you've started it. Between your review now and two others of the Fascination on the itinerary out of San Juan, I think I'm going to be spending a lot of time here on CC. :D

 

I really, really, really enjoyed the "throw back" section with pictures from your first two times on Destiny. Our first cruise was also our honeymoon, on Festivale in 1992, but the next wasn't until 2000. I would just love the opportunity to be able to cruise once a year, or more, if possible. We've never been on a New England/Canadian cruise so I'm looking forward to the rest to see if it's something that we may enjoy. And Happy Retirement to Patti!!! :)

Hi Jeff glad you and Patti are back I've been patiently waiting for your review and voila here it is. Being Canadian I wonder how a Canadian would do their declaration?

 

I bet I would have to clear customs 4 times. Once going to get to the ship in NY once coming back into Canada on the ship then again going to the states back on the ship then final coming home from the states being off the ship....hmmm interesting. We did a land vacation in July in Halifax this year. Great province and loved the pier lots to do.
