Bed linen

It's probably around 400 or so. Higher thread counts don't automatically make a good sheet....it's sort of like sunscreen...anything over 30 SPF doesn't double your protection at all, but it DOES double the price!

How nice a sheet feels depends on the type of thread...not how many there are per sq. inch!

Does anyone know the thread count of the bed linen used on the ships please? It always feels so good.

I think its around 500 but the weight is the thing that makes them good. They have a fat thread.

I know one thing, the sheets on Solstice on our cruise this month couldn't touch the ones on RCCL. Theirs were scratchy compared to the silky feel of RCCL's. Surprising I know, because they are supposed to be all about luxury.

Thread count is just one factor in bed linen - the type of thread, the weave, and the finish are very important in the overall feel of a sheet - even how it is laundered makes a huge difference or if they are ironed or not. I owned a B&B and bought a LOT of linen. It was frequently a topic at breakfast!
