kcam7 Posted October 9, 2016 #1 Share Posted October 9, 2016 We are not far from starting to pack for our 2 week cruise at the end of the month. Does Celebrity have a deal usually in the middle of the cruise where you put as many clothes as you can fit in the bag provided for a total price not priced per item? If they do does anyone know the price for the bag? Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
Rare cruisestitch Posted October 9, 2016 #2 Share Posted October 9, 2016 This deal is not offered on every cruise. You may see it, but you may not.

If you are Captains Club members look on your coupon sheet for any offers. There have been several posts recently re laundry on Celebrity ranging from full price lists to how good the jacuzzi is in the PH for doing your washing! Do a search and you may get some more tips! simon stingray Posted October 9, 2016 #4 Share Posted October 9, 2016 On our last Celebrity cruise this was offered but only a couple of days before the end of the cruise. The cost then was $20 for as much as you could get in without tearing the bag, but that was a couple of years ago so the price could have increased. It was to wash & fold only-your clothes do not get ironed.

It was to wash & fold only-your clothes do not get ironed. This was offered on our TA in April. I had several shirts(long sleeved t's) ruined with what looked like bleach spots on colored shirts. Fortunately, they were not expensive shirts. I took them to Guest Services and asked that the laundry bill be removed. It was.
varoo Posted October 9, 2016 #6 Share Posted October 9, 2016 (edited) .....There have been several posts recently re laundry on Celebrity ranging from full price lists to how good the jacuzzi is in the PH for doing your washing! Now the PH occupants will know who is responsible when they hear a knock on the door and open it to see passengers lined up in the hallway outside their door with bags of dirty laundry. :D Edited October 9, 2016 by varoo
wendychloecruiser Posted October 9, 2016 #7 Share Posted October 9, 2016 The "stuff as much as you can without tearing the bag" offer was the basis of me taking duct tape on all my cruises! Works every time.
Mr. Click Posted October 9, 2016 #8 Share Posted October 9, 2016 our last cruise on the Silhouette we got the $20 bag deal for being Captain's Club Select members AND the bag in our closet was plastic so you could really stuff it. We still needed a second bag and asked for one, it was paper....go figure. As far as deals for general population, it is all supply and demand. If the laundry is not busy, they will offer specials, just like the specialty dining rooms do. Cruise lines are very good at yield management. Ritanita Posted December 3, 2016 #9 Share Posted December 3, 2016 On our last Celebrity cruise this was offered but only a couple of days before the end of the cruise. The cost then was $20 for as much as you could get in without tearing the bag, but that was a couple of years ago so the price could have increased. It was to wash & fold only-your clothes do not get ironed. We packed a bit short and paid $20 for a bag of laundry. HINT: Fold your dirty clothes carefully and you can fit more in. We had one pair of men's jeans and 8 tops. I could have put in a bit more, but I didn't need to.

Beanb41 Posted December 3, 2016 #11 Share Posted December 3, 2016 If the end of cruise offer is made it is now $US45 for a bag of laundry. Select members of the Captains club get a bag for $US20 for use anytime, Elite get one bag free up to 30 items ( according to website) and Elite plus get 2 bags free
Rare hcat Posted December 3, 2016 #12 Share Posted December 3, 2016 (edited) Great for undies, socks, tees and any items you won't cry over if they shrink.....cuts down on smelly laundry in return luggage...but we always re- wash it all anyhow. We are E + so no charge but $45 seems steep,., Edited December 3, 2016 by hcat
Bootman4U Posted December 25, 2016 #13 Share Posted December 25, 2016 The "stuff as much as you can without tearing the bag" offer was the basis of me taking duct tape on all my cruises! Works every time. We've used a simple plastic kitchen trash bag to "line" the paper bag and it worked great.
Bootman4U Posted December 25, 2016 #14 Share Posted December 25, 2016 Cruise lines are very good at yield management. I love these "terms" we use to describe the process of generating REVENUE.
khalubear Posted December 25, 2016 #15 Share Posted December 25, 2016 We are elite so we get 30 items per person or 20 on some cruises. Before we took small travel size tide packs( walmart pharmacy) you could use to hand wash some of stuff. We also realize we overpack so we have slowly cut back what we take. Rare Pennstatedj Posted January 18, 2017 #16 Share Posted January 18, 2017 Just off the Silhouette and perks for CC have changed from coupons to being on your card. There is a letter explaining what benefits are on this cruise. There were two bags of free laundry per person for us being Elite plus. There was also an offer for bag of laundry done for 30 or 40 dollars. This was an 8 day cruise.
Bdsar2 Posted January 24, 2017 #17 Share Posted January 24, 2017 We had a coupon for all you can stuff into the bag and a few other perks given to us between B2B2B crusies on the Silhouette in Feb. 2016. I would ask at Customer service for a coupon, worth a try.
