Prices are always high in spring/summer. These are still less than the "normal" rates, so what's the joke?

 

The cruise I'm looking at is $100 less pp for the premier fare than the "last call ES" and $200 less than the Autumn Chill Sale.

 

Still high, but everything I've looked at for 2017 is up.

 

Do people think they should pay the same price they paid 10 years ago despite everything else in life costing much more than it did then? I'm astounded that I've been paying approximately the same per day fare - in real dollars - that I did a decade ago.

 

If prices need to increase to retain SOME quality products/services, so be it! Cruising is still a bargain, imho.

Well it's high to me to pay close to $400 PP for an interior room for a 5 day to a port that's not within driving distance!

The new set of casino fares are all time highs for this rate. I anticipate the casino fares and usually look forward to booking at least one of them per quarter, but I'll be skipping this round. Averaging $700 pp for an inside 7 day cruise isn't my idea of a deal.

 

I was hoping to squeeze in a casino cruise into my travel plans, but I'm glad I've already booked other alternatives.

I agree that the prices are way higher than I am willing to pay. We try to avoid cruising during school holidays anyway and I see nothing in this "sale" that convinces me to give it a try. We will wait for another offer during a different time of year.

I got that same email saying I was diamond too but was told it was a glitch. Apparently everyone got it. I don't think you're considered diamond until you've had 200 sail days.....

How are you able to see your premier cruise info already? I spend quite a bit in the casino and have never received it, however my brother has gotten it and we are going on freedom in April. :D My brother said he usually gets his in the mail... Just wondering if I was forgotten, or not lucky enough for the offers. Also how are they usually received?:confused:

Login to your Carnival acct and then go to manage and then go to vifp offers. If you have anything it will be there.

I agree with you...the prices seem extremely high. Example: Sunshine 8 day July 18, 2017 for 2 people in a balcony cabin is $3402.50!! We have never paid anywhere near that for a carnival cruise. Disappointing for sure.:(

I agree MURCOTT. If I pay those prices it will be on Celebrity for their non-smoking casinos and concierge service. These premier offers are pretty pricey.

I saw no pricing that came close to their "up to $550 off selected cruise rates" claim. The pricing I saw was the same as or just a tad better than the regular cruise rates. Of course, you have to figure in the Premier Casino Cruise perks, but in the past I would book an extra cruise or two a year because of the VERY low cruise rates offered. Not happening with these rates. :(

It must be you. When I log in, I see premier offers from late May thru July dates.

 

None of the dates offered are worth the price asked IMO.

 

If I'm going to pay those prices, it will be to cruise lines that offer the amenities that warrant those prices.

Supply and demand. Why would they give discounts if they don't have to? Cruising is getting more popular than ever.

 

Ditto! Carnival and the players club does not exist to make you happy. if you do not like the offer just don't accept it and go on with your life.
