Goldenpaw Posted January 5, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 5, 2017 You swipe your cruise card for tokens. On the Royal it's $3 each for washer & dryer and $1.50 for detergent or dryer sheets. Sent from my iPad using Forums
elliair Posted January 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 5, 2017 Bring your own detergent and fabric softener. I pack in a baggy a couple of Tide pods along with softener sheets. Saves you some money.
cabinfever60 Posted January 6, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2017 This is where you use your cruise card to get your tokens
Potstech Posted January 6, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 6, 2017 Remember there are laundrys on most decks. If one is out of tokens go to another one or the Passenger Services Desk to get some.
pompeii Posted January 6, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 6, 2017 Have all ships gone to tokens that you can get with your cruise card? Specifically Crown Princess? So no need to bring quarters anymore?
1964pilot Posted January 6, 2017 #8 Share Posted January 6, 2017 YES - We were on the Crown in December and they have the tokens.
dafazda3 Posted January 11, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 11, 2017 A little secret: The soap vending machines aboard the Crown Princess still accept quarters whereas the washers/dryers only accept the tokens... *ssshhh*
donaldsc Posted January 11, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 11, 2017 Have all ships gone to tokens that you can get with your cruise card? Specifically Crown Princess? So no need to bring quarters anymore? Do you actually bring quarters w you. If the laundry does require quarters, you can always get them at the service desk. Why lug quarters. GUT2407 Posted January 11, 2017 #11 Share Posted January 11, 2017 You can also get tokens at the Purser's desk. Mrs G takes detergent pods, in an old plastic jar (Vegemite normally) that stops the pods getting squashed and can be tossed when it's empty. Lucky TGO Posted January 12, 2017 #12 Share Posted January 12, 2017 No just tokens. You can get them in the laundermat with your cruise cars. Tony
Iamcruzin Posted January 12, 2017 #13 Share Posted January 12, 2017 (edited) Do you actually bring quarters w you. If the laundry does require quarters, you can always get them at the service desk. Why lug quarters. DON I would always bring a roll of quarters. I would rather lug the quarters than make a special trip to the desk and have to wait in line. I just hope that the token machine is full on my next trip. I would hate to have to wonder the ship or make the trip to the desk for tokens Edited January 12, 2017 by Iamcruzin
