RRLLAL Posted January 19, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 19, 2017 (edited) When trying to use the rcl site to search for cruises it often gets hung up and just says "loading" forever. Does it work better with one browser over another? Edited January 19, 2017 by RRLLAL
Clarea Posted January 19, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 19, 2017 I don't think there's any consistency. I'd try different browsers and see what works best for you.
moonltnite Posted January 19, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 19, 2017 I found it hung on "Loading" when I've used Chrome. In IE, it has been working ok for me.
Italy52 Posted January 19, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 19, 2017 I have problems with Firefox at times so I switch to Chrome.
John Reid Posted January 19, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 19, 2017 For the last few days, it has gotten hung up for me using both Chrome and Safari. I had to go to my Fire and use the Silk browser.
dpostman Posted January 19, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 19, 2017 The last time I opened the window curtain and put a metal spoon upside down on the window sill and the website worked fine;) dp

I'd like to give that a try. Teaspoon or Tablespoon?

Rare firegal2539 Posted January 19, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 19, 2017 Can't use Google or Chrome, have to use I.E. This has been going on for a month. I called Royal but the rep said she hadn't heard one complaint about their website. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Teaspoon or Tablespoon? :D I used a Tablespoon, and being up here in Eastern Canada, I put it on southern facing window. Someone over in Central and western US might have better luck with an eastern facing window. Folks in the UK should maybe use a ladle and a western facing window.:) dp
AnnaDarel Posted January 19, 2017 #11 Share Posted January 19, 2017 Chrome will occasionally freeze up for me, and I'll switch to Firefox, which isn't better. Eh. Next time I'll try the spoon trick. :D

slyster Posted January 19, 2017 #13 Share Posted January 19, 2017 I called customer service to find out about a certain cabin availability because it was taking too long to load too. I told him once again the website was having problems and he asked what browser I was using. I said I tried a few times from IE at work, came home and tried my chrome and then safari browser. He says "well that may explain it. we always recommend you use IE". I said, "I tried a few times at work on IE and finally gave up and tried at home". "well we do recommend IE". Ok, forget it dude and just answer my question about the cabin availability. I'm sure it's not your website. It's Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and obviously IE since I tried that at work. Yea...not your website

clochette Posted January 19, 2017 #15 Share Posted January 19, 2017 for some reason it has been very buggy for the past 2 days, I have cleared everything as I usually do, and cannot get past certain points, I can look at my cruises without a problem, but cannot book a cruise. STANCPA44 Posted January 19, 2017 #17 Share Posted January 19, 2017 This is a related problem, on my Ipad I cannot get either the Royal Caribbean website (it said the website is on vacation) nor the Delta airline website (states that you cannot access this website). Maybe someone could help me out.
SailingSal Posted January 19, 2017 #18 Share Posted January 19, 2017 But isn't this so frustrating:confused: It honestly drives me crazy - I know that they could hire a 14 year-old to fix their web site! Maybe I will try the spoon remedy - and a fork;)
