RuthC Posted February 23, 2017 #10 Share Posted February 23, 2017 For those in the know...how much does a Wang Wang cost actually, considering the vast amount of alcohol in it ? "Vast amount" of alcohol? There's only 2 oz. That's pretty standard for a drink. There's a vast assortment, to be sure. And that could pack a wallop, I suppose. But hardly a lot of booze for one drink.
sppunk Posted February 23, 2017 #11 Share Posted February 23, 2017 $7.50 + tax, iirc $8.13 total. Trust me, I had two (sometimes three) nightly on Koningsdam in December.

wishful thinking Posted February 23, 2017 #15 Share Posted February 23, 2017 1/4 oz Vodka1/4 oz Gin 1/4 oz White Rum 1/4 oz Scotch 1/4 oz Bourbon 1/4 oz Tequila 1/4 Triple Sec 1/4 oz Brandy Top it off with Pineapple and Orange Juice Add a splash of Grenadine I recall them being banned a couple of years ago. Maybe the bartenders were a little heavy handed with their measures - lol!

Rare POA1 Posted February 23, 2017 #17 Share Posted February 23, 2017 For those in the know...how much does a Wang Wang cost actually, considering the vast amount of alcohol in it ? We're going to have to have a serious talk about "vast amounts of alcohol." The net-net is less than two ounces of 80 proof spirits. I'm more concerned about the crazy, free flowing pineapple and orange juice. That stuff will kill you.

billbunger Posted February 23, 2017 #19 Share Posted February 23, 2017 From experience I can safely say the better you know and tip the bar tender the better the Wang Wang becomes. When they free poor there is usually more than two ounces of booze in the glass. A good drink to make friends over.
sppunk Posted February 24, 2017 #20 Share Posted February 24, 2017 Three, eh? Brave man! I have years of experience in training. :) It does make a difference to know a stewart when you order, they go to the best bartender who specializes in them. Usually the Ocean Bar. OceanTraveller4ever Posted February 24, 2017 #21 Share Posted February 24, 2017 So the wang wang is just hoping that the barman will overdo the quarter ounce measures. Nonetheless the mixture of so many disparate liquors would be strange.....Each is own :)
