Just done my first cruise as Platinum Member on Grandeur of the seas. Was also in a Junior Suite so got a silver sea pass with Platinum wrote on it. It made people think, why is his platinum coloured and mine still blue. (you get nothing for silver sea pass, so don't worry about it)

You get a welcome back party with Captain and free drinks (so get those) and half way through the cruise you get your gift for going up a tier. Not saying what it is, as it can be a nice surprise for you. Bathrobes in your cabin for the use of the cruise (don't pack them to take home), better toiletries to use and softer towels. All good.

Because they are the same towels.

If you are Platinum in a different grade cabin that is lower than a suite, then you get the suite towels.
