5/12/18: 10-day Star "Alaska Cruisetours" (Interior-$1,399; Balcony-$2,499)

This is the first Princess Sale that I have seen that Includes OBC , that states the OBC may not be combinable with other OBC ? ( Share , Mil , Groups, etc. ) . That would not be a good thing .[emoji44]

It is standard in Princess offers that they are not combinable with pther select offers (such as travel agent fares or casino fares). That may be all that they are saying this time.

Does anyone know if this will be a $100 refundable deposit like last time?

Astro Flyer in post #3 says it is refundable $100 deposit.

That was stated in the email my TA received:

Deposit

$100 USD refundable deposit per guest

That's been my experience & it's only not combinable with those deeply discounted cruise fares but they're combinable with other types of OBC even when that commonly used condition is added to promotional offers.

My feelings are that they mean from other booking type promotions. Not those you have listed. But, it's just my impression.. no actual data.

Thanks for sharing this. We have a 15 day PC booked in April 2019 under S&S, DW and I are not drinkers so took the OBC, $250. Looks like depending on the cruise fare, we are in a BD and love our cabin so don't want to change, this could be a good switch for us.

Fingers crossed!

All the OBC types you listed can be combined with this offer.

As others have pointed out, it cannot be combined with some special fares

Oh how I just love to get this kind of information to help me convince the DH that we MUST book another cruise!! <giggle>

Nice to have a wife like you. I have a lot of trouble trying to convince my WIFE to come with me on another Cruise.

She wants me to save money and buy a house!

How much is the OBC for 2 in a cabin? $300 or 600?

I shared the OBC levels in post #3 which are based on the length of the cruise:

FREE Onboard Spending Money!

Cruise Length
Onboard spending money per guest, for all 4 guests

6 - 9 Days $75 USD

10 - 12 Days $100 USD

13+ Days $150 USD

Even with this offer, Princess is much more expensive than Celebrity Cruises (same standard)

Sorry but you can't make blanket statements like this because it's just not true. It certainly could be for the itinerary and ship you are looking at. In fact I looked at a few of the Panama Canal cruises and the balconies on Princess were cheaper than an ocean view on celebrity.

Just like with any mass market line, ship, itinerary, and dates will dramatically effect the price.

One of the reasons I haven't booked another cruise with Celebrity is that I have found pricing to be better on Princess for the cruises I am interested in. Your statement makes it sound like Princess is higher across the board and this simply is not true.
