Goodtime Cruizin Posted September 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted September 8, 2017 if history holds true, Caribbean cruise rates should begin to drop in the aftermath of these two hurricanes.

sfaaa Posted September 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 8, 2017 Hotel rates as well. I scored a great Miamia hotel deal last year because of all the hurricane cancellations.
Beachammo Posted September 8, 2017 #5 Share Posted September 8, 2017 Many cancellations at Disney World according to the CEO. Probably get a great price if you want to visit towards the end of the month........ Sent from my VS995 using Tapatalk
Kinny Posted September 8, 2017 #6 Share Posted September 8, 2017 Too late for us. Maybe we can upgrade without costing us too much. LOL
lbjen Posted September 8, 2017 #7 Share Posted September 8, 2017 We're booked on Vision out of Galveston next spring, I don't think we'll see much of a discount there!

Retired LEO Posted September 8, 2017 #9 Share Posted September 8, 2017 That's a very good possibility. Unfortunately 9 of my future bookings are past final payment date.
caribbeanboy Posted September 9, 2017 #10 Share Posted September 9, 2017 NCL is not charging single supplement for Escape sailing on Sept. 16! I'm going on the 16th on the Divina, but will keep an eye for Escape Sept 23 sailing. I haven't been since 2010 on Norwegian, so would like to try them again. Very easy walk from one ship to another one..
CruiseGal999 Posted September 9, 2017 #11 Share Posted September 9, 2017 Who wants to cruise to these devastated islands before any rebuilding can even begin? My trip to Cancun in 2006 was a year or more after a big hurricane there and it was still very devastated and not rebuilt or ready for tourism. If they need my tourist dollars, I'd volunteer to visit.

Pstreet12 Posted September 9, 2017 #14 Share Posted September 9, 2017 The destruction is so great that there really isn't anything for tourists to spend their dollars on--no restaurants, no shops, no bars. Of course they need money, but they have nothing to offer to tourists to make tourist dollars. No cruise ships are going to call on ports that have been, literally, flattened. For quite some time, there won't even be bathrooms; the level of devastation is beyond anything they've had before.
