The_Big_M Posted September 21, 2017 #26 Share Posted September 21, 2017 Also do the spa tour when you board. That way you'll get to sample the concrete loungers, and the steam room, which you probably won't have seen before on your other sailings.

GUT2407 Posted September 21, 2017 Author #29 Share Posted September 21, 2017 what their asking now to go on the cruise not really worth it.....nearly $400 per person per day We got it for about half that for an accessible balcony
GUT2407 Posted September 21, 2017 Author #30 Share Posted September 21, 2017 Por que no los dos? Lunch at the buffet on Friday when you board, then lunch at Mast Grill on Saturday. Late boarding unfortunately. So no Friday lunch.
GUT2407 Posted September 21, 2017 Author #31 Share Posted September 21, 2017 why not both, get something from the grill and then go to the buffet for the rest or dessert. Well that's an option, two or three breakfasts, each day, two or three lunches, three or four dinners. I like the way you think.
Rare MMDown Under Posted September 21, 2017 #32 Share Posted September 21, 2017 I've decided that it's harder to plan a two night cruise than a 34 night cruise. That is why small exquisite things are more expensive than large things. It is all in the design. Have fun planning possibilities.
Rare MMDown Under Posted September 21, 2017 #33 Share Posted September 21, 2017 why not both, get something from the grill and then go to the buffet for the rest or dessert. Oh yes. There is something decadent about eating in the main dining room, then going to the buffet for dessert (or even second dessert). That is one of the joys of cruising! Just have tasters of the things you want rather than larger portions and you can try more food items.

Docker123 Posted September 21, 2017 #38 Share Posted September 21, 2017 Thanks, doc has said I can give it a try and take it from there. Great news. Now turn up in your wheelchair at an early boarding time and say you will call A Current Affair if they won't let you on in time for lunch. Swissmiss6253 Posted September 21, 2017 #40 Share Posted September 21, 2017 I love the aspen coffee for dessert at Cafe al Bacio Everyone talks about the Martini Bar, and it is fun, but I like the Passport Bar on deck 3. Quiet and they make a nice Whisky Sour

I trust he tips his Maitre' D, Head Waiter, Waiter and Assistant waiter, lol. Not forgetting ye olde Sommelier if he has one at his place of abode, lol. Sorry Graham, having a stir. Might have been re arranged since I was on Solstice, some 5 years ago.:') I know I got 'lost in the buffet, perhaps it was the 3400 pax on board who all seemed to be in the buffet on embarkation day for their eagerly sought luncheon, as you do. The excitement of cruise ship buffet food reigns supreme, particularly for first time cruisers as many Solstice pax are.
