Carnival Cruise - how many stops do you prefer on a 7 day cruise

On a 7 nighter, I'd like 5 port days. I don't HAVE to get off the ship, if I don't want to...but I love it when others leave!

Wife and I like to stay on ship, but that's because we are old, and we have the ship to ourselves when everyone gets off at ports of call.

Actually I like 4 sea days with 2 after sailing and 2 before the end of the cruise

7 and 8 day cruise, 3 port stops max.I like sea days more. My favorite itinerary layout is 8 days, 3 ports. They are hard to find.

I like an even balance, however on every cruise I have been on, I wish they would skip the last port and stay at sea (never did like that debarkation day)

I vote (B), but on our last 8 day Sunshine cruise, we had 2 sea days, Aruba, Bonaire, 1 sea day, Grand Turk, 1 sea day. I loved having the sea day to break up the ports instead of just straight ports in the middle of the cruise.

If it were an option, I would have chosen 1 sea day. I enjoy the ports, and frankly if I didn't feel like going to port I could always take a "sea day" by not getting off the ship. I do prefer to have one sea day after embarkation day though because of how exhausting and hectic it is.

We ended up close to choice C in Princess two years ago this Christmas. 7 day that was supposed to have 4 port days, turned in to a single port day. Definitely made good use of the beverage package on that cruise and one nice thing about Princess is that their pool decks are actually pool decks, not water parks. Slides and rope courses are fun to try once or twice but after that they just take up space.

 

I think we prefer 3 port days with the 2 sea days up front. The first sea day is rather regimented for us, we’ll order room service fairly earlier and do a bunch of things and before you know it it’s time to get ready for dress up night. On the 2nd day we sleep in, maybe do the brunch... but it’s all about chilling!

 

The last sea day on the back side should not be allowed to happen [emoji6]

Three sea days is great with me. We did a 10 day European last year on the Vista and had 9 port days. Had a great time but almost needed a vacation after the cruise to rest up.

No more than three stops. I would really enjoy 2 long stops if it were up to me.
