swedish1 Posted December 11, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 11, 2017 We are Sailing on Harmony on Dec 16th and have two Cabins. I was just informed via a Cruise Critic search that our Balcony Cabin 14554, will not Open due to a Support Beam under the Hot Tub. Our kids are in the next Cabin 14556 and this is frustrating. Ship is Sold out and only advice I received from calling Royal was to ask at Check In or on the Ship if they will be able to move us to Cabins that Balcony Doors will Open to adjacent Cabin. Any one have any better advice for us?

ATC cruiser Posted December 12, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 12, 2017 Hope you didn't pay for a balcony. Sent from my iPad using Forums I think the OP is talking about the divider between the balconies. Sent from my iPad using Forums

cb at sea Posted December 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 12, 2017 If you have connecting cabins (I haven't looked at the deck plans for these cabins), then you will have a door between the cabins. You WILL be able to access your balcony....you just won't be able to access THEIR balcony...but you can still chat around the divider!

They are not.
SRF Posted December 12, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 12, 2017 If they are NOT connecting cabins, why would the divider be retractable????
Clarea Posted December 12, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 12, 2017 If they are NOT connecting cabins, why would the divider be retractable???? Balcony dividers can be opened between most of the balconies on Oasis class ships.

Scottygirl1 Posted December 12, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 12, 2017 I just wonder why the OP didn't book connecting cabins? If I was travelling with my children or grandchildren that would be my priority.
Rare wilmingtech Posted December 12, 2017 #11 Share Posted December 12, 2017 I just wonder why the OP didn't book connecting cabins? If I was travelling with my children or grandchildren that would be my priority. We booked our cruise around 80 days out and the balconies we got were the only two balconies left next to each other. They are not connected by an interior door. Im sure when the OP booked they took what they could (as we did) assuming the balconies would have a connecting divider. Not much the OP can do unless there are other rooms available but its pretty late in the game for that. -Sean Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk

I would never presume though that I could make access through a balcony. I hope they get this sorted so that their holiday is more enjoyable. amp0289 Posted December 12, 2017 #13 Share Posted December 12, 2017 It looks like the review you saw was from Oasis (not Harmony). We did not open our divider, so I'm not positive, but we were directly on the other side of the ship in 14154, and there was nothing we saw that would impede the divider from being opened.
