MSC Seaside Bar Menus

It's one of my favorites, too. I'm a bit of a stickler about it being made correctly, so I never tried ordering it on my cruise. I also never saw a bottle of Benedictine in the bars, so couldn't say if it could be made properly anywhere onboard.

One of my very first favorite cocktails - the Singapore Sling. Never have quite seen it made super well over the years. One of the classic cocktails that has been forgotten.

That's a great question! I'm not sure of the answer, but I would assume you'd need an alcohol package to order anything with alcohol in it and not be charged. Anyone else know?

I had the Coffee Package last summer. Alcoholic coffee beverages were not included, and not expected - especially given the low cost of the vouchers. Double check the details of the vouchers online, as things can change. In late 2016, the Mealtime Beverage Package was only available in the buffet and Main Dining Rooms, but this past summer it was available in all bars and restaurants (including buffet and MDR) at no extra cost. :D

I adore a good tiki drink, but I tend to get sick of rum after one drink. I love gin, so this is my happy solution. We use the original raffles hotel recipe, but I really only drink it at home since so many places take shortcuts with it.

Does anyone know what is the different with the family soda package and the soda packet by it self?

MSC would probably be a better source but my understanding was the family pack was one price for all whereas the soda package was also available for singles and smaller groups.

Hi,

Are these Bar Menus from Caribbean or European itineraries thanks?

Hi guys. I've been asked on another thread for photos of bar menus from Seaside. Rather than posting them there, I'm starting a new thread since there are so many pictures. If anyone has any that I missed, please feel free to add! (Unfortunately I didn't get any shots of the Champagne Bar menu or the one from The Haven or the Garage Club. My guess is that the last two are similar to what's offered at other bars onboard, but I'm not positive.)

I'll start with the Sports Bar:

They were posted by Ashley while she was on the Seaside, so it's a Caribbean itinerary. Don't know whether the same menu will be on it's sister ship, the Seaview, since it's skewed to include many varieties of beer that the North American market would be accustomed to.

The bar menus between US/Caribbean and Med sailings are very different so the ones posted in the photos won't be available on Seaview. The photos of the bar menus from Meraviglia in the following link will give an idea of what to expect on Seaview (from post #70):

On the Mealtime Drink Plan....what drinks are included? Is it just wine and draft beer....or do you also get an additional 12 vouchers for frozen drinks, bottled bee, and glasses of wine? If not, can i upgrade my mealtime plan to one of the upgraded drink plans?

You don't get drinks vouchers with the Mealtime Drinks Package. Here's what's included:

Unlimited wine (a choice of 2 white, 2 red and 1 rosé house brands), mineral water, draft beer, sodas and fruit juices during lunch and dinner.

The drinks included in this package are for consumption in the main restaurants and the self-service buffet, but not in the specialty restaurants.

There seems to be mixed experiences about upgrading. You need to contact whoever you booked with. The code for the classic (basic) all-inclusive is 534 and the one for the deluxe (premium) package is 536.

And I think NCL was at $6.95 plus 20%, for our convenience of course. They do offer 6 beers for 5 in the bucket though.

It is late so I may be losing the thread but think I saw a bucket of beer on a menu somewhere among all my Seaside mania. I don't really drink beer so I didn't pay it any mind but now I am wondering how much just to see if MSC used some of their dubious math skills pricing that as well.:D

Anyone spotted a Seaview Lounge menu? I've been hearing there is a key lime pie drink that is to die for. My spouse would love that. :)

Oops. Editing in turns out the bucket of beer is in this thread on this page. Sports bar 5 for the price of 4.

These were taken on the transatlantic from Europe to Miami before the ship began its regular Caribbean sailings. However, I doubt they have changed them. Since the ship was created for North Americans sailing the Caribbean, these are the menus that will continue to be available throughout the Caribbean.

I've seen some of the same menus still being used on the last couple of sailings in some of the youtube videos. I've also seen a couple of the bars have posted specials that are not included on those menus in a couple of the vlogs there. I don't know if those are the specialty drinks in souvenir glass I've seen mentioned here and there, or just something they are making special with whatever was available cheap last time they resupplied. If they are the souvenir glass drinks the prices were very reasonable.

I just noticed something because of one of the photos you posted, Ashley. This picture you posted lists the Super Premium not on any drink plan alcohols:

25182229_1969783200010906_7941588634257152067_o.jpg?oh=4c54aef88d91df23775da72d97bb012a&oe=5ACAD097

And this is the link I was given when I asked about what was included on the currently available DELUXE drink plan for US/Caribbean cruises. The fault is completely mine. I failed to read what that link says at the top of the two drink plans and realize PREMIUM and DELUXE are not at all the same thing. It doesn't make me sad I upgraded since I primarily did it for the chocolate-covered gelato bars and espresso trio at Venchi - we all have our priorities! ;) - but I thought I would point it out since it seems like it might be an easy mistake to make.

Or it's just me. :o

Oh I love a Singapore Sling! First alcoholic drink I ever had was a really well made Singapore Sling. I've never had another that lived up to it, really. I've come to the point of thinking perhaps part of that was the lovely young untainted taste buds I had at the time. :halo:

Post #8 has the Miami Casino Bar Bombay $6.50*

Post # 12 has the Seaside Bar Bombay $6.00

After some of the reports I've read and watched of things on Seaside it wouldn't surprise me at all if you were refused it on a classic drink package in the Casino, then were able to sashay over to the Seaside bar and get some with no trouble. It'll be like an alcoholic scavenger hunt. ;p:D

TG - The Super Premium is a new category with 2 asterisks which no packages cover. However' date=' the deluxe package [i']is[/i] the premium one. All items, including those with one asterisk, are included.

The linked .pdf shows a Classic and a Premium package. The Premium includes Super Premium brands. I was given it and I have seen it linked to others here who asked what alcohols were in the all inclusive drink plans. I'm sure at some point somewhere MSC offered that, but the current DELUXE drink plan differs in that it does NOT include the Super Premium items.

As I said it is of no consequence to me. Since I booked with a Classic drink plan as a no extra charge perk with my booking I only paid the $56 difference. I fully intend to make sure I consume enough chocolate pralines from the espresso trio and chocolate-covered gelato bars to make that worth while. And I'll probably sample a few deluxe beverages along the way as well. However I would not like to see someone unhappy because they mistakenly thought they'd get the Super Premium with their Deluxe drink plan.

Just another small pinch of confusion in the mix I was hoping to clear up. :)

MSC regularly remove items from the lists. A couple of years ago, I could get Remy Martin XO @ €12 per glass on the premium package. A year later, it was removed and the highest value drink was Janneau XO @ €8.90. They are now on the Super Premium list at the same price. Last year, the highest priced cognac/brandy was @ €6.90 and that was Martell VSOP. For this reason, I no longer get the deluxe/premium drinks package. It increased in price from €42 pppd to €44 and is now €50 while reducing the value of items it covers.

That is a lot of increase. Certainly can't blame you for deciding not to partake. For me it just came down to $56 to get at least $75-80 worth of enjoyment during the week so it made sense.

I really hope they have Grey Goose Cherry Noir which I see on that linked .pdf list, though. I've never tasted it but have always wondered about it. A friend has told me it is wonderful with simple syrup, a little lime juice, and club soda to fill up a Tom Collins glass.

My concern would be that there are a number of beverages listed on the menus which do not match what is believed to be the Classic Beverage Package for the Caribbean. As an example, in the menu's posted, Yuengling Lager and Bailey's are listed as a premium, though they appear on the Classic Beverage Package. I agree that it would not make sense to print a special set of menus for the T/A cruise, but other cruise lines have made custom menus for unique itineraries.
