I just checked my final account for our last cruise, and the Cellar Master's Dinner then (on the NA last April) was $89 pp. So you weren't far out in your guess.

Interesting. I wonder if it is now being priced according to the food and drink!

It was $89 on the Westerdam when we sailed on her too and on the Prinsendam recently according to Roy (rafinmd).

I wonder if KK was quoting the price for 2 inadvertantly?

Glad you had a Cellar Master Dinner Ann. Looks like it was delicious.

Looking forward to one on our upcoming cruise (yn)

We are sailing on the Maasdam next month and we were planning to get what used to be called the “Navigator” package, but these new packages seem like much better deals. We checked HAL's website and it is still showing the old Navigator and Admiral's Choice options under “Beverage Packages”.

Does anyone know if HAL is offering or planning to offer these new wine packages on the other ships too?

I believe that they have rolled out the new wine packages to all of the ships; we had them on the Rotterdam over Christmas.

HAL has just not updated their website yet.

Nope -- that was the price we paid per person.

What beautiful photos and a great review, Ann! Reading your comments and seeing the photos brought back happy memories.

I like the food porn photos, too! I have so many photos of food taken on that ship. :')

We loved the Koningsdam and would sail on the King again in a heart beat. The dining venues were outstanding. We ate several times at the Dutch Cafe. The Split Pea Soup was so good after a long (cold) day of touring the fjords. DH was able to order his favorite beer there, too.

We also loved the stunning and creative floral arrangements.

I look forward to meeting you in May on the Prinsendam!

Bobbie

Thanks, Bobbie, We are looking forward to meeting you all on Prinsendam, too. I will definitely have some comparisons to make! We've already booked the pop-up Sel de Mer on the little Prince, and hope for more!

I have a lot of photos from the Sel de Mer on K'dam, I don't know whether to post them or not. Might be too much! We tried just about everything there.

I was not that enthralled with the flowers. Some were very strange , like furry ginger flowers! I guess they were all in keeping with the modern theme. At least there were still the lovely orchids on most of the Lido tables.

wow KK. Was it a special Cellar Master or something? I know one we had on the P'dam was a higher price because it was a "special one" with different wines, etc. It was still under $100 pp though (barely :halo: ).

I didn't mean to sound like I was doubting you - I just haven't seen it at that price and hope I don't.

I for one would be happy to see your pics, Anne. :)

We've only booked one - would you recommend booking 2? We haven't done Sel de Mer before but the menu on line looks delicious.

Jacqui, if they offer the full menu, there are a lot of choices! You could go over and over again. We ate there 5 times, and I was still trying new dishes - didn't have the opportunity to go back to my favourite - the whitebait. Actually the first courses were the most popular, I think, you could make a meal of them. The fish was alright, I think another time I would stress I wanted fresh. Otherwise, the duck cassoulet with duck confit was popular. I'd like to try that. Here come photos:

Some hors d'oeuvres. ( I demolished my escargots before I had a chance to photograph them! They came with a whole bulb of roasted garlic to share!)

Oops! Was that a fish? Could have been the grilled red snapper but I can't swear to it! Also, I think I might have mixed up the duck and the coq au vin. Oh , well, you get the idea....

That looks more like duck!

Thanks Anne.

Fabulous pics.

I'm going to compare your menu to the one on the HAL site and see if they are the same.

The pop up is more limited, quite sure. That looks really delicious. I might just book another one ;)

Appreciate the info and feedback very much. A fabulous review and thread and very helpful .

Thanks for sharing your wonderful pics.

I knew it was only a matter of time before HAL introduced the message feature on its Navigator App. Now we will have to contend ourselves with even more people walking slowly down narrow halls with their faces in their phones and completely unaware of anyone else around them.

Checking out the first course menu I can see a whole meal on that list. Looking forward to trying it.

And what are the flavors? :D

Sorry, I don't think I ever noticed the Gelato place when/if it was open. In Tamarind there was a lovely lychee sorbet, though. I didn't think much of the green tea one or the basil (?) one, but I could have eaten three of the lychees!

There wasn't a lot of variety at the ice cream station, just the basics, so I suppose they were hoping people would go and try the gelato. We didn't, and never visited the Dive In , either. We needed to have had more than three weeks on board to eat everything!
