Pop quiz; Besides being the only ship staffed with all-British deck and engine officers for several years (Jonathan Mercer and Peter Harris were two), Veendam was also the only ship in the then HAL fleet not registered in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, until January 10, 2006. Where was she registered and which flag was she flying until that time?

 

Oranjestad, Aruba and the Dutch Antillies flag?

Wish I was on board, but getting out of here is tricky with storms. Have to wait until May, but the wait will be worth it :hearteyes:

Bang, right! :D

Veendam remained the only Bahamian-registered ship in the fleet until 10 January 2006 when she was registered in Rotterdam and began flying the Dutch flag
