rsquirrel Posted March 4, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2018 Is there a spot to plug one in or should I just get a cheap stick one that sits on the counter?

rsquirrel Posted March 4, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted March 4, 2018 The only outlet in the bathroom is for a razor. Sent from my iPhone using Forums Thanks, that's what I thought but figured I'd check for sure. I guess I will have to go and buy an air freshener. I have so many of those plug in ones that I got for free or so cheap.

micruiser2002 Posted March 4, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 4, 2018 I buy the cheap hanging car and clip on car ones. They both work great in the bathroom and the bedroom area.
rsquirrel Posted March 4, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted March 4, 2018 We take a small can of air freshener with us. Can't use spray kind with my asthma. I pick the scent carefully too, no floral ones as they give me headaches.
bboop51 Posted March 5, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 5, 2018 I bring a travel size Lysol spray. Sent from my RCT6S03W12 using Forums mobile app
Fouremco Posted March 5, 2018 #9 Share Posted March 5, 2018 Febreeze fresheners that clip to air vents work well clipped to the cabins AC vent.
phoenix_dream Posted March 5, 2018 #10 Share Posted March 5, 2018 IMHO the bathrooms in S class have excellent ventilation - no air fresheners really needed. On M class? Depends on the cabin - they may come in handy there.
12thAggie Posted March 5, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 5, 2018 We bring a small California Scents. We like Coronado Cherry but there are lots of scents. They only cost a few dollars. It is a solid in a very small can (1/3 of the size of a small tuna can). You pop the top open (a pull tab) and the whole cabin will smell wonderful and the hallway too. My cabin Stewarts always ask about it. They say there passengers are asking about the wonderful smell.

crash3x Posted March 5, 2018 #15 Share Posted March 5, 2018 Is there a spot to plug one in or should I just get a cheap stick one that sits on the counter? We use one of 2 different things....a small yankee candle air spray ( size of a lipstick tub) its great. or we stop at dollar store and just grab can of spray...and leave it behind when we head home. we also bring liquid hand soap from dollar store so we don't have to use little bar ship gives you cause it just makes a mess on counter. chengkp75 Posted March 5, 2018 #16 Share Posted March 5, 2018 Plug in air fresheners have heating elements, so are considered prohibited items.

Flafun888 Posted March 6, 2018 #18 Share Posted March 6, 2018 those little ones that sit on counter work great for us...but it's such a tiny space, my suggestion is to avoid the heavy fruity scented ones. It can get overwhelming. The fresher scents seem better - ocean breeze, fresh linen, etc.
phoenix_dream Posted March 6, 2018 #19 Share Posted March 6, 2018 You obviously have never met my husband. :o I get it, I do. :) but seriously, 10 minutes later an elephant could have been doing his thing in there and you would never know it. Rare mom says Posted March 6, 2018 #21 Share Posted March 6, 2018 A whole page, and none of you have mentioned Poo-Pourri as an alternative to sprays or heavily scented "fresheners". I thought it was a joke at first, until I read a thread somewhere where people were swearing it was the best thing since 2ply TP.

Not a fan of sprays as I mentioned earlier I have asthma. I'm going to stick with the solid one that I can control the amount of scent.
Edmngld Posted March 6, 2018 #23 Share Posted March 6, 2018 We use Poo Pourrie (sp) You can get it at Bed Bath and Beyond. You spray it in the toilet before going and it holds in the odor. It works better than any sprays.
cruising diva Posted March 6, 2018 #24 Share Posted March 6, 2018 I would NOT want to stay in a cabin that has any fresheners due to allergies. I think people should be respectful of people who come on the ship after them. I am chemically sensitive so please be thoughtful of other people. I'm going to stick with the solid one that I can control the amount of scent. You do not spray it into the air, you spray it on the water in the toilet - it's a bit of an oily substance so it clings to the top of the water. I also have allergies (albeit not asthma). Using this stuff would actually be much preferable to the solid scent as that still lingers in the air whereas this mostly does not. They have small travel sizes - you could try it and see.
