Issue with No Credit for Onboard Spending

After completing our 17 day South and Western Caribbean cruise in January, our mariner status was finally updated on Friday. I noticed however, there were no additional days awarded for onboard spending. I know we had OBC, but we went well over that with gift shop purchases, wine, daily beverages, HSC, Pinnacle and Tamarind dinners, and booking a cabana at Half Moon Cay.

I contacted the Mariner society this morning and spoke with "Bill" who advised that their IT department was aware of the problem and that at this point, nobody on our sailing has been credited with onboard spending days. They hope to have the issue fixed soon, as apparently Bill has received numerous calls about it. He did tell me, I was one of the more polite inquiries; I guess others haven't been quite so understanding.

Just thought I'd let folks know in case you were wondering why you only had your actual days sailing credited to your account - patience, the rest will be forthcoming.

Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)

This has been an on going issue for the better part of 2 months as reported by others.

Really? I didn't know this; if I had, I would not have started a new thread.

Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)

I just received my updated Mariner status also and I wondered why I only received one day credit for spending over $1600. I sent an email a very polite one asking why only one day. I guess they will eventually fix the glitch. Thanks for bringing it up.

Sorry to hear this Geri and hope you get your correct credit soon as well as everyone else who may be missing them.

thanks for the heads up and letting other know.

While there has been some discussion on some threads about late mariner credits, this thread is very helpful to those who may encounter this with the title and info.

Many thanks :)

I posted about this last week, with an update over the weekend. My cruise days finally posted from my Feb. 4-11, 2018 cruise, but I still haven't received credit for my onboard spending.

Sorry, I didn't read the thread through, just scanned the headline and thought it was updating for the cruise, not the onboard spending portion. Our cruise was Jan 28 - Feb 14 and our mariner days were updated on Friday last week. I guess some take longer than others.

We had 18 inches of snow overnight - I sure wish I was on a Dam ship somewhere right now!!

Smooth Sailing! :) :) :)

We ended our cruise on January 4th and haven't received credit for anything. Two months and only excuses. They have known they had a problem for many months, as evidenced by other posts here. Cruises that ended after ours have finally updated, but we are still waiting. Seems like they should start with the oldest and go forward. We have a cruise scheduled in June and a Grand Voyage in January 2019. Should be 5 star by then, but who knows?

Hmmm. It's strange that some are getting updated and not others. My cruise ended Feb 11th and my Mariner status was updated about two weeks later including spending points.

Still no credit for onboard spending. It's been over 3 weeks since I debarked.

I am wondering if the issue is with certain ships or a ship that is not transmitting the on board spending properly?

As an example only .....

When I contacted OceanPlayersClub regarding my casino letter, they were still waiting for the ship's information and that was 3 weeks after my cruise. (I was supposed to email them within 30 days of my cruise).

They gave me some leeway with the time line as the ship was late with the info. I gathered that this is unusual from their reply.

HAL has had awful IT for far longer than months. Their web site is s user unfriendlym, I ddread the thought of goikg gthere anddon'g vdefy much anymore. i knew which ship, whagt date and embarkagtion port butg could not gegt gto a page gto show me an itinerary. I gave up and totally forgot about pursuing a booking for that cruisre. I doubt I am th e only one who gave up and walked away form making a booking.

Roz and I were on the same cruise. Another weird thing: My cabin mate's status was not updated when mine was. :o:confused:

Success, finally. I got credited with one measly day for onboard spending, but it's there. Took them almost a month. Amazing how HAL can charge your credit card almost immediately, but not your Mariner account.
