138east Posted April 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted April 17, 2018 Any recommendations? What is your hotel budget per night? What are the exact dates you would need this room? How many people and bed size configuration? Are you flying(which airport) or driving to NYC? Are you sailing from Manhattan, Brooklyn, or Cape Liberty? Ashland Posted April 18, 2018 #6 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Wouldn't connecting rooms work out instead. We did this at the Radisson Martinique Hotel in the city...great hotel and location.
Rare Coral Posted April 18, 2018 #7 Share Posted April 18, 2018 I would look into Residence Inns and Embassy Suites.
myfuzzy Posted April 18, 2018 #8 Share Posted April 18, 2018 (edited) I didn't go back to see if any more information was given, but if $$ is an issue, maybe think somewhere outside Manhattan As a side note, we stayed in Manhattan one time, got to the hotel, very cosmopolitan lobby...went to our floor, very dark, opened the door to our room, the room was the size of a full mattress, which was placed on the floor, the headboard was a very large oil painting, the wardrobe was at the "foot" of the bed, of which I couldn't fit my feet between the bed and it. The toilet was placed at an angle to be able to close the door...and we did pay $$$ Edited April 18, 2018 by myfuzzy

CruisingSince1982 Posted April 18, 2018 Author #12 Share Posted April 18, 2018 I would look into Residence Inns and Embassy Suites. We may just end up with two rooms at the Ink48. Not really what I wanted, but if plans change and we decide to stay for more than 1 night, I will change the hotel choice. Thanks!
myfuzzy Posted April 18, 2018 #13 Share Posted April 18, 2018 If you could provide dates and airport of arrival and cruise port, we could really give you more accurate information

Nitemare Posted April 18, 2018 #15 Share Posted April 18, 2018 Is it a nice enough hotel? I need at least a 2 Star hotel when in the City  for most folks yes. For you, you deserve something better.
myfuzzy Posted April 19, 2018 #16 Share Posted April 19, 2018 To the OP, you might have gotten more responses if you had given us more information to work with. At this point, you can hang a map of Manhattan on your wall and throw a dart to it and stay at that hotel.
Ashland Posted April 19, 2018 #17 Share Posted April 19, 2018 Yes, that would work as well. Thanks for the recommendation! You're very welcome...enjoy the city.
CruisingSince1982 Posted April 19, 2018 Author #18 Share Posted April 19, 2018 We stayed at the Affinia 50 and it was great for our needs. I will check that out. I really don't think Ink48 will be bad for us. It's rated well, and still within walking distance of Times Square should we chose to head that way. Thanks! Rare Coral Posted April 19, 2018 #19 Share Posted April 19, 2018 I hate to say I did this but I would do it again in NYC as it is so $$$$. For the dates I was there, I looked at the Jacob Javits convention center. There was a consumer technology conference going on with tickets for $10. I bought a ticket and used their conference rates at the Marriott Marquis. It saved me $$$$.

It's close enough to everything - we are fit walkers :)
