Rare Scrapnana Posted May 6, 2018 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2018 Nieuw Amsterdam is scheduled for the first of her weekly Monday visits to Juneau. She will be at the CT dock (again, good viewing for us since nobody will be at the AS dock) from 1300-2200 local time. The weather for the first half of the week is looking warmer and drier for Juneau. High on Monday is predicted to be 61F/16C and the low 42F/6C. There is a 0% chance of rain (not something you see that often in Juneau). Sunrise is at 4:48 am and sunset at 9:02 pm. Also in port is Ruby Princess at the FKL dock from 11:00-2200. The PTZtv webcam can be found at http://www.juneauharborwebcam.com . Here is a copy of the map of the docks.

Rare rafinmd Posted May 7, 2018 #5 Share Posted May 7, 2018 If the times in the Fleet Locations thread pan out the Maasdam may be leaving FTL as the Nieuw Amsterdam arrives in Juneau. Roy

Happily@Sea Posted May 7, 2018 #7 Share Posted May 7, 2018 I was in Vancouver yesterday, Noordam and Westie were sharing the port. There was a marathon being run through downtown, streets closed, what a mess. Juneau should be much quieter.

Happily@Sea Posted May 7, 2018 #10 Share Posted May 7, 2018 I see marine traffic is way behind again. I wonder where NA really is? I'm going to have to learn the place names again. :D

I'm going to have to learn the place names again. :D By my display she she has about twice the length of the Gastineau to go. It shows "3 minutes ago" and 21kt. She'll probably be tieing up as Maasdam leaves FTL. Roy

Straitlover Posted May 7, 2018 #14 Share Posted May 7, 2018 Hope no one misses their private excursion due to the lateness! :) Hope I didn't jinx myself. We are supposed to arrive in Juneau at 8 AM in June, and our private whale watching/glacier excursion check in is at 8:30, LOL.
