Favorite Bar to Hangout

So have to ask, what is your favorite bar on each ship to hangout and why?

I'll start but I have only been on 2 NCL ships :D

Breakaway - Maltings because the chairs were comfortable and I always met interesting people. The Vibe bar and Shakers are tied for 2nd place!

Escape - ??? Didn't really find a great bar to just hangout. Maybe District Brew even though I am not a beer drinker?

On the Escape, the Cellars Wine Bar. We also sat the last table so we could people- and chandelier-watch. The bartenders/servers there really knew wine, so they were great at making suggestions.

On the Dawn, Gatsby's. I absolutely loved the bar/wait staff there and I'm hoping against hope that some of them will be there when we return in February.

I always like the bar staff at Blue Lagoon/O'Sheehan's. They have always entertained us with riddles on our cruises. I don't know why, but on every ship, they tend to be our favorite bartenders and the only ones that consistently entertain us. So much fun to hang out for a few hours here.

Escape...the District and 5 Oclock Somewhere with Jay and Johnny be Good.

Getaway, never really settled in anywhere for too long....

further back is just a blur.

Funny :D

I had the same experience on the Escape that you had on the Getaway, lol.

I really didn't find any place I wanted to stay for more than one drink but I agree the District is very nice with its comfy sofas next to the windows.

on Jewel class we love the Gatsby's area bar on deck 6. On Star we love the Biergarten too.

On the larger ships we have never really found "our bar" but often end up at the Atrium.

Thanks for the information! Good to know :)

On the big ships, I love sitting in O'Sheehan's, as my wife fritters away our life's savings in the casino (not really, lol,) at the bar, watching soccer (football) and enjoying Newcastle draft after draft.

On the Escape, District Brewhouse was a frequent hangout.

On smaller ships, it depends -- the first couple of days, I scope out the different bars, tipping, and find the bar that has the best service/personalities behind the bar. On my most recent cruise, the Sun in May, 2018, it weirdly turned out to be the casino bar (where there was a guy that knew how to make a "Mr Worldwide") and the bar aft of the buffet, which had a bartender that I wrote to NCL as my "Cruise Hero."

On the Epic and Getaway, we loved the bar between Cagney’s and Moderno. I don’t even remember the name and it is only open when the restaurants are. Very classy and under utilized so service is excellent and never rushed. Not the place for a blender drink but great spot for pre and post dinner cocktails. At other times preferred the waterfront bars on Getaway and Maltings on Epic.

Was it this one:

At the heart of 678 Ocean Place, between Cagney's Steakhouse and Moderno Churrascaria, is where you'll find Prime Meridian Bar. Whether you're enjoying a drink in the middle of your amazing evening or pondering where to go from here, you're at the centre of it all.

they also have Gatsby's on the Dawn. We too love to hang out there. On our last cruise, I think we spent all buy one night there. Also, usually like the atrium on most ships. It can be noisy but there is so much going on around the atrium and the bar staff seems to be very nice even if they are overworked sometimes.

On the mega ships we like O'Sheehan's.
