Extra Kim Posted July 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Does anyone know if the shuttle buses that Avis use in Port of Miami have seat belts that will fit a infant car seat? And the same question about the taxi/shuttles/pick up trucks that go from the port to Magens Bay? I don't even remember if they had seat belts last time we went to Magens Bay (back in 2015). If not, is there normal taxis going there? We have a similar stroller where you can fit the infant car seat. The stroller folds down to save space, with other words, it will fit even in a small car. Rare Essiesmom Posted July 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Kim, you might also ask on the Florida Departures board, under North American Homeports. EM
cb at sea Posted July 27, 2018 #3 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Shuttles are generally buses with no seat belts.

1025cruise Posted July 27, 2018 #5 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Rental car shuttles tend to be busses with no seatbelts. In St. Thomas, you might find a taxi that has a seatbelt, but the general "mass transportation" is a specially designed pickup truck with seating in the back. Extra Kim Posted July 27, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted July 27, 2018 Sounds like I have to pick up the rental car and return to the port to pick up my family. For St Thomas a taxi will be our choice. Thanks for your input.

Thanks for your input. We have had to do that in the past. Husband is the designated person to fetch the car while I mind the kid and baggage. In pre- everyone has a cell phone days, it was wait and watch. Now cell phones make it easier keeping track of each other and timing. :)
