GUT2407 Posted July 29, 2018 #26 Share Posted July 29, 2018 Gotta love if we get it here in NEWCASTLE. Trains go to with-in 2 km's of where new Cruise terminal is getting build. Airport is only 15-20 mins away also. It's now international with Flights to NZ 4 times a week.. Very busy port being the world's largest Coal port.. Plus I could walk to the Passenger terminal.. Lol.Even GUT & BY The Bay would love it also. Lol I’d still have loved to see it on wharf road rather over the river. Or even dock where they do now and ferry passengers to a location on wharf road rather than bus he through the back roads. Then have the light rail ended o the Airport and/or an express tra Dow to Sydney. But you can’t have everything I guess.
Chiliburn Posted July 29, 2018 #27 Share Posted July 29, 2018 The probably want to sell Sydney harbour like the federal government did with Darwin harbour. Chinese communist party owns Darwin harbour now.

Rare Sparky74 Posted July 29, 2018 #29 Share Posted July 29, 2018 Its a shame but not surprising at all. Perhaps we will see a proper cruise facility at GI in 50 years time, but in the meantime its time to start putting in some proper effort to develop a terminal at Botany Bay. Obviously its not as ideal as sailing in and out of Sydney Harbour however various cruise lines have said they are open to it and will even look into doing sails into the harbour in the afternoon before properly departing. GI always means Glen Innes to me! :')

Chiliburn Posted July 30, 2018 #32 Share Posted July 30, 2018 I guess it will become just another thing to consider when booking a cruise. With these big ships, they are the destination. Port Everglades and Port Canaveral are pretty unimpressive and they seem to thrive. But Sydney Harbour is the icing on the cake to start &end a cruise. Yeah they need him back to really challenge, looked sloppy the last few weeks but still got the points except against West’s. Whereas the lizards have looked sloppy and lost. Rorters looked good at the weekend as do the light rain showers. But hey number 22 might be this year.

Yeah calm before the Storm... ;p The Steelers were lucky that ex-rabbitoh Luke Keary got injured and left the field with 30 minutes to go otherwise the those dirty rortin' chooks would have put over 50 on them, he was carving them up all over the place. He is the one player I hate that we let go to those B_______'s  "22" it's praise the Lord and pass the ammunition... Cheers r. . The_Big_M Posted July 30, 2018 #36 Share Posted July 30, 2018 Lots of good reasons Garden Island wasn't suited. If money was no object, the Finger wharf would have been an even better choice, and gone back to its roots - that's authentic! But here we have an open area close to transport links and the airport, within Sydney and able to be developed as needed. Win/win.

skyfire747 Posted July 30, 2018 #40 Share Posted July 30, 2018 Pity they built Canberra in the wrong place. It should have been on the coast, then we could have had the ships coming here. We could just build a massive canal to the coast and have them come here. - LoL ;) Sent from my SM-G900I using Forums mobile app

Did Neymar get the Golden Electric boogaloo for horizonal excellence in ground rolling or what ever they call it? Is it true he rolled on the ground for more minutes than the Socceroos spent on the pitch in their entire 3 match farce? Can't wait for Qatar... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz :D . Rare mr walker Posted July 30, 2018 #42 Share Posted July 30, 2018 A great opportunity to make our harbour even more spectacular has seemingly been missed - guess there were people around who were against the bridge & Opera House as well. That said, if Stingrays Harbour is the location, then so be it - let's just get on with making it happen! I propose it be called the Eora Cruise Terminal.
