There are to many funny stories but this is one that made me chuckle & get me out of from pram when I got upset over really something stupid...

Can't remember who posted about me throwing my toys out the pram... anyway over that now...myself  & and 7 other members of my family should be in Venice today  ( overnight for 9 night cruise crystal) tonight 😢 but alas I'm home & drinking to much.. please keep the funnies coming ..just luv them

Lvshack, we are all in the same boat (and wishing we were on a ship).  The requirements for keeping ourselves safe are beginning to wear holes in our souls.  It is a trying time.  People are coping as best they can.  Tiny moments that distract us from what are now daily frustrations are the things we cling to.  Enjoy your tipple!  ☺️

Yes!  I am a proud Canadian!  🥰    We live in a small town just outside of Ottawa, Ontario.  And it is the interaction here than mitigates the frustration.  No one is looking for grand postings of wisdom and virtue.  Just laughs, food porn, gorgeous scenery, tea and sympathy!  And don't feel that there is a requirement to contribute anything.  Relax and enjoy the distractions!

Terry, how long before your results come back? You know many people have said they don't find out for 2 weeks😧

They told me that I would know the Covid-19 results in one to two days.  For sure by Monday the latest.  The kidney stone procedure is set for Tuesday am, so, at the very latest, they need to know for total certainty that I am OK prior to that time.  No point in doing the pre-surgery Covid testing if it would take two weeks to know the results.  Too old and "stale" by then.

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

Glad that our Bath/UK friend likes and is getting the "hang"  of things with the Cooler.  Sorry to hear about your cancer challenges.  Makes my kidney stone procedure upcoming Tuesday morning seems fairly easy and simple.

Below from my files are a few visuals taken during our first visit to the UK way back in June 1977.  Was there during the Queen's 25th anniversary celebration doing much in and around London, plus going up to Scotland on an overnight train excursion.  Your Queen is still doing well and setting a great example for all of us "Seasoned Citizens"!  It's been 43 years since that first visit to the UK.  Have been back there in 1998, 2000, 2006, 2008 and 2010.  Need to go back again to the UK, enjoy more, see what's new, explore some areas not yet visited, etc.  BUT, we are in this "lock -down" right now.

THANKS!  Enjoy!  Terry in Ohio

From our first visit to the UK in 1977, here are a few visual samples.  Bring back any memories?? The first are from the London area, including in front of Buckingham Palace and the second (as I recall) was at Hampton Court Palace with a jet sneeking into view in the background.  Right?:

(Open your screen/viewer wider to see these visuals larger/better!)

From Scotland, first is the famed castle in Edinburgh and second was a countyside  view with some musical style to fit the right location.  Right?:

Lvshack - I posted about selling a house to Travis P.  Where do your friends live?

On another note, Bob will be having a COVID test on Sunday at a drive through site in preparation for a PET scan and a big surgery on Tuesday.  Fingers crossed!

See...we need another response button here!  Just saying!  Best wishes for Bob,  Emt!  Hope all goes well!

Please clo...could I have a taste?  ☺️

You can only imagine how good it is! And super easy. 10oz Oaxaca cheese, grated, 5oz. chorizo crumbled and browned, a couple of Poblanos roasted and pealed and chopped. Mix it up, put in, say, a gratin dish at stick in a 400 oven for about ten minutes. AND we have enough for another meal. And the chorizo we had in the freezer and I had already roasted etc the peppers, pealed and froze. All we had to do was pick up a fresh bag of corn chips.

Thoughts are with Bob Emtbsam too xxx

It seems like quite a few coolers are experiencing “interesting times”  right now. If you are reading this post  then I’m happy to confirm to you that you have  a 100% success rate of surviving S*** times so far and may I wish you all a similar success rate for the future. Well not all of it, but I certainly hope the odds hold up for a while.

We were just talking to our daughter about what a year this has been. And because we live in the West these fires, now totaling maybe 5 million acres, is so awful.

clo...thanks for the recipe.  It will be passed on to Myster!  🙂  The fires are indeed scary!  It just seems like misery piled on misery at this point.  Emphasizes the need to be kind, respectful and sympathetic and empathetic to the struggles many are facing!

I’m currently researching my family tree and have had quite a few breakthroughs this week. My mums maternal family has been the easiest to trace as a distant relative has done a lot of the leg work already. I found a portrait of my great great grandfather on my mother’s side who was Police Superintendant of Shrewsbury and I was quite startled to find myself looking at my own eyes and nose on a 170 year old man (pictured below). I was also quite startled to discover that my 9th Great Grandfather was Headmaster of Shrewsbury School in the 1640s (One of the finest Schools in England of its time) and was dismissed by the Parliamentarians for stealing £600 of the schools coffers to give to Charles I. Upon the restoration he was pardoned and reinstated. I’ve found many accounts of what occurred which I’ve found fascinating to read. With my maternal line I’ve got back to 1450 but it gets very difficult beyond there as the Welsh didn’t have surnames. On the paternal side I’ve Only got back to 1690 with a name that absolutely fascinates me, Hercules Underhill. I do have some leads to follow though. Have any other coolers researched their ancestry?
