There are several ships coming up on rotations in the next 30 days. Some of the incoming masters live in the US, but some live in Europe, meaning they won't be able to get back with POTUS announcement of the ban effective Friday on incoming travel from Europe. Hold onto your hats folks, this is going to get tricky.

Capt. Capt Ole-Johan Gronhaug was captain on the Brilliance for the March 7 sailing.  Don't know if that is when the rotation took place or not as Capt. Ante was on for the cruise that ended on March 2.

I'll make it 3-7 as that would be the minimum 8 wk rotation for Capt Ante.

OK FOLKS, NOW THAT RCI HAS SUSPENDED BUSINESS THROUGH APRIL, THIS CHART IS GOING TO BE MESSED UP. PLEASE BEAR WITH ME AS I TRY TO GET IT CORRECTED WHEN SAILINGS RESUME. UNTIL THEN, GET PLENTY OF REST, DRINK PLENTY OF FLUIDS, AND PLEASE DON'T PANIC!!!!!!!!!

I would have thought the captains will still be required on the ships. 
I can’t imagine the ships being 100% turned off.

time will tell.  hoping folks on CC will report into you on captains.  Too bad RCI doesn't have a way for you to find out.

 

And it should be real fun for those Captains who switch off in the month of April.  Then again, RCI could add another 30 days and do a full 60 days like other lines.   Shhhhh for now

Yes captains will need to be on the ships.  Their schedules may be effected by travel restrictions as they go on and come off vacations.

that's what I meant. Of course I know the ships won't be ghosts but I don't know how many of the captains live in the US and can sign on when their rotation comes up and how many are in Europe and can't get back in the country.

I knew you understood, I was just trying to make it clear to others that might not.

 

Looks like we might get a chance to meet.  If it happens we are booked on the Ovation next year.

I assume some of the captains must of been on ships now for well over the ten weeks.

It must be a nightmare for Miami Operations to roster them over this pandemic. Plus very annoying for those captains waiting to take up duty because of flight schedules and countries in lockdown.
