gmbhardy Posted October 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted October 7, 2018 is Getaway heading straight into the storm?
Rare Georgia_Peaches Posted October 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted October 7, 2018 I haven't heard anything about T.S. Michael yet? Where is it brewing?
gmbhardy Posted October 7, 2018 Author #3 Share Posted October 7, 2018 It’s brewing directly in the path of the Getaway’s western Caribbean route, between the west shore of Cuba and the east shore of the Yucatan Peninsula.

kirsty_r Posted October 7, 2018 #5 Share Posted October 7, 2018 There is another thread on this suggesting the first 2 ports have been changed.
PelicanBill Posted October 7, 2018 #6 Share Posted October 7, 2018 I think Getaway would have to wait to get into the straights until Michael passed north but I thought it might just be a 6 hour delay. But a port change is safer!

GA Dave Posted October 8, 2018 #11 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Just checked AIS Marine Traffic and it said the wind is 72 knots right off the western tip of Cuba, which is about where the Getaway would have been during a normal cruise to Roatan. YIKES!
Sauer-kraut Posted October 8, 2018 #12 Share Posted October 8, 2018 Driving to Destin, FLA on Friday. Right after Michael goes through. I think we'll be vacationing somewhere else this year. *sigh*
