Chinook Wind Posted January 20, 2019 #4 Share Posted January 20, 2019 Thank you for posting this itinerary, kazu! What an amazing experience this must be! 😍 We're boarding the Amsterdam at the end of this World Voyage on May 16th for the 17-day repositioning cruise through the Panama Canal to Vancouver, B.C. (...where I presume the Amsterdam will then be doing the Alaska season). Never hear much about the Amsterdam but am looking forward to sailing on a smaller ship. Chinook Wind - We did this last year and stayed on for the first 7 day Alaska voyage as well. We really enjoyed the smaller boat. The food was the best that we have had on any of our many cruises. I hope that you have a great cruise.
Chinook Wind Posted January 22, 2019 #8 Share Posted January 22, 2019 Thanks colbe! We're hoping that there will be some special frills left over/continuing-on from the World Voyage, lol. I love the smaller ships too -- transited the Panama Canal several years ago on the small Celebrity Century (before it was sold). The Amsterdam is such a beautiful little ship...very old school. DFD1 Posted January 22, 2019 #25 Share Posted January 22, 2019 The itinerary is very different from World cruises of the past few years. Lots of Northern Europe and Ireland near the end. I haven't seen this before. Bon Voyage to all the lucky World Cruisers. Amsterdam is a great ship.
