Rare colesc15 Posted March 28, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 28, 2019 Did I make the right decision? We were on Symphony this last March and booked Vision next year because of the itinerary. It goes to Barbados, st Lucia, Antigua, tortola and Punta Cana.. We mostly did it because of the last two ports. As far as I know, royal rarely goes to either of those ports which is why we're paying more for this cruise than we paid for symphony. We were able to get corner js 8088 as well. Is it the right decision? Thoughts!
Clarea Posted March 28, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 28, 2019 It would be a good decision for me.
HicksRA Posted March 28, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 28, 2019 If you’re going for the ports (as it appears) and not to be on an amusement park, it’s an excellent choice.
Rare colesc15 Posted March 28, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted March 28, 2019 That's my thoughts. I haven't been to Tortola in years and never been to Punta Cana
ONECRUISER Posted March 28, 2019 #5 Share Posted March 28, 2019 Doing the 10 and 11 nite B2B on Vision in the other Aft/corner cabin. Good catch, good cruise. My kids do the Allure/Anthem multiple times last few yrs, me I'm content with the Vision/Radiance Class which have done 95% of my cruises on

rhblake Posted March 30, 2019 #9 Share Posted March 30, 2019 Go to Youtube and search for "Vision of the seas cabin 8088" and you should find 2 videos of that cabin. They are a couple of years old but they will provide a general idea of the cabin.
driftersdream Posted April 23, 2019 #10 Share Posted April 23, 2019 Am looking at a Vision 11 day with a wonderful itinerary. The smallest ship we have been on is Voyager class and most recently Oasis class. How is the movement on the Vision? The cruise would be in March to the Southern Caribbean. I've never had an issue with motion sickness but I've never been on a ship this size either.

Ashland Posted April 24, 2019 #12 Share Posted April 24, 2019 I would have taken #8088 in a heartbeat....I had to settle for #8590 (and I booked very early) for next month's Med/Greece...this sailing sold out quickly.
sellwingri Posted April 24, 2019 #13 Share Posted April 24, 2019 We also booked Vision next year for 2 ports we’ve never been to; Punta Cana, Dominican Republic and Martinique. It’s great they’re adding new ports.
erby2283 Posted April 24, 2019 #14 Share Posted April 24, 2019 Clarea always beats me to the punch...if sailing for ports yes, if sailing for the ship, maybe no. Chose her for my August 12 nighter in the Mediterranean but since we only have 3 sea days, the ship doesn't matter as much to me. I have been hearing wonderful things about the food and her crew so that bodes well!
finz2u Posted April 24, 2019 #15 Share Posted April 24, 2019 Absolutely. We booked the same itinerary and an aft cabin for January 2020. Love the idea of visiting Tortola and Punta Cana. I will also qualify for my crystal block! Cannot wait.
