Icon of the Seas Blocks Are In The House!

Recommended Posts

I just want to thank @Eremita85 @Lloyd555 and all the others who have kept us updated with pictures and videos. This is probably the first time I have kept up with a thread about the building of a new cruise ship.  I work for a heavy highway civil construction consulting firm and we schedule roadway projects and I just cannot imagine what the CPM (critical path method) schedule looks like when trying to build a cruise ship. Truly an amazing feat!

Wonder if this will be similar to I fly and Northstar where they have free sessions available on port days.

I booked it for day 6 of the inaugural.  If they are offering free sessions it give me lots of time to cancel.

If they're having free sessions let me know. Mike is probably interested.

Successfully cleared! We were never in any doubt.

She didn’t go as fast under as I thought she would. I remember when Oasis went under they made a big deal about having to go at full speed, Icon increased from about 13kts to 16kts.

thanks for sharing.   must be fun for the crew.

Promenade looks good. So far I’m underwhelmed by whatever the Pearl is.

They shouldn't have marketed the Pearl and just left it as a interesting site to walk through, in the end it can't be a constant show where people gather for several minutes and block a walkway/promenade.  It would just end up being a bottleneck.
