Thanks for the information.  When traveling, I often bring a Sony 6300 and a couple of lines.  For an upcoming trip to Norway, I'm going with a Sony RX100VI and the Sony RX100M3 as a backup. Candidly, I've been trying to compare the VI with the 6300 and to these tired old eyes, I don't see much difference.

I had looked into the RX 100 VI but I have a hard time holding a small camera steady when fully zoomed . We get the part about the old eyes . Where are you going in Norway ?

They did not tell us . It came on 3 times a day at an appointed time and the young people seemed love running and playing in the cold water . Kinda like the Polar Bear plunge on the ship at 10 PM

I too have a problem keeping the camera steady but in playing around with it and a few tweaks, it seems to suffice.  We’re doing the Niewu Statendam  Voyage of the Midnight Sun with another couple.  Should be fun as well as getting away from this crazy weather 🥵

If we want to see some great art we would go to the Hermitage ( closed on Monday ) . But if we want to see some great Russian art we go to the Russian Museum where there will be few tourists .

There are several types of Khachapuri . The Mingrelian which we showed before and the Adjarian shown below .

 

 

We have made this kind and it was great .

I should clarify we are doing the 14 Day Voyage of the Midnight Sun on the NS, 5 Jul 2020 . We did the Baltic on the Prinsendam a couple of years ago, loved Saint Petersburg. Your pictures of the subway brings back good memories.

After the museum we met some friends from Russia for dinner .

We had last met them for dinner at their house on May 9 , 2015 which is Victory Day for them ( VE Day ) a day like the 4th of July for us . It also means fireworks on the Neva River .
