Holland Casino Offers

Received one for a VIP Casino cruise in late April or early May and took it - going on the Nieuw Statendam in Dec. Before that, received one for free inside with casino Fun Play and we booked a Neptune Suite on the Oosterdam for last Feb. Unfortunately, both were Guarantees which we don't like to do, but no choice in order to receive the discounted fares and casino cash. I usually receive 3 or 4 per year. Used to not have to book Guarantees with these offers, but now you do and the deposits are non-refundable.

Just to add to the very accurate info in Djptcp's post....   In my case, and I think most others, payment is due at time of booking on the Offers.  Non-refundable unless you buy HAL cancellation plan.

While I don't like Guarantee room assignment, Non-refundable and full payment at booking,  it's still a great deal.  Hope to stay on the list for future mailings.  Could mean two cruises a year instead of just one!

Jim

Thanks for the info. We received our last offer in Jan. And none since. We have taken 2 cruises since. Still the discount rate we get is nice. But we where also trying to squeeze an extra cruise in before the holiday

My husband received the mailed offer yesterday. We have a cruise booked that we’ve made final payment on and it’s been booked for about 16 months. It will be our third HAL cruise . My husband basically just plays at the poker tables but is NOT a high roller. He has received the offers before too. And according to our TA, our rate for our booked cruise is at a Casino Rate. I wish we were able to take advantage and book one of the cruises in the mailer, but not this time....

We have 3 cruises booked, but we have not received any free cruise offers since January, we did not take the offers as the timing of these did not coincide with our availabilities....

Over the past few months I've received 2 emails with offers of free and deeply discounted sailings, but my wife couldn't take the time off from work. I hate turning down free cruises. We've only sailed with HAL once.

Hi.  We received a mailer today.  Nothing I could use.  I did do a casino offer a couple of years ago but eventually learned I could have had the same rate through a discount agent.  Another cruise, I had a freeplay offer but didn't bring the letter, and they had no proof of it so sorry about that.  Moral: Compare the offer to what you could get in the market, and always take the letter.  Regards to all.  Jim from Las Vegas.

I have a casino discount on a cruise for this fall. I sent a message through the ocean players club website to check on any offer they might have for me for that cruise. They said they would give me $75 in free play money and that I would need to check in with the casino cashier on the ship.

Curious...are you saying that you have a discounted rate for your cruise, a casino rate, AND emailed the ocean players club and got an additional $75 free play money??

I am not the poster you asked but I can tell you that I had a discounted rate (casino) and would have had some play money IF i had sailed in 6 months.

If you get the casino offer in your mail box (Club21), just email Ocean Players Club and they will tell you your benefits,

It doesn’t automatically connect to your booking.  Hope this helps.

For the next cruise, I had a 15% casino discount. I filled out the form at the ocean players club website ( https://oceanplayersclub.com/contact/offer-request/ ) and 3 or 4 days later I received an email with an offer of $75 in free play money.

I have taken advantage of casino rates on other cruises, but I don't have one this time.

I  used a FCD, the 3 day sale, an Amex offer,  and Flight Ease so my cost for a balcony room is very reasonable.

Have had the same perk through OPC.  They said the cashier would have me on their "guest list" to get the free play money, but they never do.  They casino manager has to "verify" with the home office before they will dish out the chips, so expect to wait until the next day.  Be sure to take the email from OPC with you for verification.   Good luck!

Thanks for the advice. I'll bring the email with me.

I see this guaranty several times on here. I booked free signature suite offer for the $50,000 Blackjack and Slot tournament Nov 10th on the Nieuw Statendam and have the room I want booked already. I upgraded to a corner aft. I don't understand why my offers are different. My wife also received a free cabin offer and she has her room booked already also. Never once have I had to book a guaranty.

Perhaps you are a higher "rated" player.  Many of us only receive casino discounts (no free offers), as we are lower rated.

On the offer my husband just received, there were 5 "categories" with select cruises in each.  The first category had free interior rooms ( 8 cruises to pick from in this category ) and the other rooms could be upgraded for a price...up to $799 additional for a NS.  The other categories had interiors from $99-$399 and additional upgrades on NS ran from $800-$1600. Ocean-view, verandah and Signature Suites were also available for upgrades.  Each category had 4 to 8 cruises to choose from.

I just received the same offer. I was tempted but unfortunately it doesn't fit my schedule. Hope I get another one sometime.
