Suite availability on embarkation day

I'm set on what time Celebrity generally starts allowing passengers on the ship for embarkation, but do they have a fleetwide policy of not allowing passengers in their suites/staterooms before a certain time? I know on other cruise lines, you can get on board and have lunch or wander, but you can't get into your stateroom until a specific time, like 1 p.m.

I'm traveling on the Solstice from Seattle staying in a Celebrity Suite (CS category) if it that matters.

I'm slipping in an extra question if anyone knows: Does the suite-only Laminae have set seatings for dinner (early or late)? Or is it open seating whenever you arrive within the dinner timeframe? I'm receiving conflicting info.

Thanks.

Generally you can board around 11am and the cabins are available to passengers about 1pm.  Since you are in a Suite you can wait in Michaels Club until the rooms are available.  Luminae will be open for lunch probably at noon.

Luminae is  open seating, show up hen you are ready to dine.

We were allowed into our S1 suite at 1:00 for the same cruise that sailed June 28, 2019. Luminae is open seating. I believe you can make reservations but we never had more than a two minute wait. Go there for lunch on Embarkation Day. Sam the Maitre D is awesome. We had Tyrone as our waiter and he was very attentive and would always make the perfect recommendations for food. Also, you can request the main dining room menu and order from that. We would often order our salads from the main dining room menu, and order apps, dinner, and desert from the Luminae menu.

Staterooms and suites are generally available at 1 pm or shortly thereafter. An announcement will be made when available.  since you are in a suite, Luminae will be open for lunch, or you can hang out in Michael's until they are ready.

Luminae is open seating, so you can arrive at anytime during the service hours. Be aware that occasionally depending on the passenger mix there may be peak times. Historically we have never had to wait more than a few minutes to be seated.

Agree with previous posters , suites are ready by 1 pm, we like boarding about 11am ,and going to micheals, we were escorted on board last cruise we had a celebrity suite not sure if that is normal. Always do luminae for lunch and most meals

Just got off a cruise and we were allowed to go directly to our suites at about 12 noon where our sea passes were on the door.  We could drop off our carry on luggage and then leave the room in case additional cleaning needed to be performed.  Suites were then fully available at 1pm.  Really appreciated being able to drop off luggage.

Open seating in Luminae but at busy times there may be a small delay getting seated.

If the ship has been "revolutionized" you can access suites / staterooms immediately on embarkation in order to leave luggage but the room may not be ready.  According to the schedule Solstice is due to be done at the end of October 2021.  So unless you are scarily organized I suspect you will have to wait until 1 or thereabouts.  We have on occasion been lucky and had our butler come to find us at lunch to let us in a bit early.

Luminae - open seating only.

The only time we've needed to book a dining time in Luminae was on the Constellation for both Christmas Day dinner and New Year's dinner ----even then it was only advisory.

Enjoy!

Yes this is the new practice for Revolutionized ships (Millennium, Summit, Equinox) and for Edge too.

Some people will wait to get a window table.

We have also seen diners seated,  served and then move to a window table when it was available.

Personally we don’t see the fascination, if it is too sunny they will lower the shade and at night it is too usually dark to see anything and since it is light inside you can’t really see out.

On one cruise at the embarkation lunch in Luminae a lady was sitting next to a window and complained  that the curtain was dirty and there was a stain and couldn’t sit next to a dirty curtain.  She wanted to be at a different table but still at a window.   They moved her.   She sat down and then complained that the window was dirty.  She demanded to talk to the Maitre D‘  because it was unacceptable.   The Maitre D’ try to explain to her that the windows get washed but sea water keeps splashing on them and it was raining earlier.     The woman said that they need to do something about it because she is in a suite and  she expects clean windows to look out of when dining.

Wouldn’t have wanted to be her cabin attendant or  Butler

The next day she was seated at the same table with the stain and now really raised a stink because she pointed out the stain and it should have been addressed.

The next time we dined we asked not to be seated around the “white glove” lady as it was very disruptive,  and uncomfortable as we felt bad for the employees.

We need to write a book...I've sailed with a few over the years.

Either just bitter unhappy people, or they are under the mistaken impression that this is how people of means behave.🙄

There were a few people that I have known thru church,  and other organizations.  Very down to earth, polite and very nice and helpful.  Would have never guessed or known how wealthy they were or really cared.   They never acted above anyone or belittled them.

I was looking thru a Cranes magazine and they had published the wealthiest people in Mi and I was surprised to see their names.  Never knew that they were owners of businesses , CEOs, or presidents of corporations.

Like you said some just want to act important and think that they will get more by doing so.   I couldn’t live or be like that.
