ms Amsterdam and Volendam in Juneau July 19, 2019

Amsterdam will be in prime viewing area (where I can gaze at "my deck") at the AS dock from 0800-2200.  Volendam will be at the CT dock from 1300-2200.

 

The only other ship in port is Regatta at the AJ dock from 1200-2300.

 

The forecast calls for rain early in the day with overcast skies later on.  High will be 64F/18C and low will be 54F/12C.  Sunrise is at 4:22 am and sunset at 9:45 pm.

Next up:  Nieuw Amsterdam and Eurodam on Monday.

It is 5:10AM in Juneau and is quite Rainey.  I will be in and out today and may miss the sail in for both ships.  Friday is a much nicer day to be in Juneau.   The crowds are much less in town and at Mt. Roberts

Not a chance!  Unless it clears up I don't think she would see her deck anyway.

It's been flaky, especially with regard to Volendam.  It appears to be there at one point and then disappear even when I try to zoom in closer.  She is probably now 10 minutes away from Grand Island.

Does the Amsterdam normally dock facing the webcam?  Looks like they are playing quite a bit with the lifeboats.l

Now the map shows 2 Volendams, the old dot and the other one (which I suspect is correct) has her past Grand Island.

I wonder why Regatta is at the AJ dock when FKL is vacant today.  Can the port fees there be that different?
