Hi

A good place to see what you can do at any given port is check the port of call threads on this site. Also TripAdvisor has a lot of information.

Do you like beaches, how about shopping, casino, parks? If you want to do something, just get off the ship go to where people are getting on shared buses or taxis and tell them what you would like to do. They will take care of the rest.

You could rent a car and drive around the island. Be aware that they drive on the left hand side, but traffic isn't very heavy so most people can manage.

Of course, if you don't want to do anything... stay on the ship.

have a great cruise

Get off the ship browse the straw market, have a drink/snack at Senor Frog's, reboard the ship to enjoy it less crowded.  Here are a couple of threads from the Bahamas Paradise board listing what is there:

If you like snorkeling, take a look at Paradise Cove. They offer snorkeling from the beach at Deadman's Reef; it was some of the best snorkeling I've done. They will pick you up at the port and drive you back after your visit.

We stayed on board and really enjoyed our day.  We got loungers in a primo location on the Serenity deck where we stayed until the afternoon.  We had our choice of dining venues at lunch with no lines.  And in the afternoon, we went to the Waterworks—no kids and no lines.

We were just in Freeport yesterday on Pride and have been there twice before.  We got off long enough to walk around the shops and straw market at the pier and got right back on.  A lot of people stayed on board or only got off for a little bit.  It's such a short stop and not the best port.

We do the same. Like to take a nice walk and the wife loves looking at everything they have. I enjoy the island music when they have it. Good food available and great drinks if you so desire. You can see the corner of the super big white tent with a lot of seating to get out of the sun and enjoy the cool breeze. They have enlarged it with new buildings and stores to shop at. All nice and clean.

Don't be afraid to get off the ship, wander around a bit then get back on and enjoy the quiet and lack of crowds!

But we usually grab a cab to the straw market, walk around downtown for a bit and then head back. Our last visit they had really improved the shops in the immediate port area, so we were able to shop there and get back onboard without feeling like we'd missed anything.

I'll be on Pride August 11-18  and in Freeport the 16th.

I can not decide what to do or stay on Ship.

I have never stayed on ship when in port.

Should I stay or get off?

Whats to do?

Since you said the Pride I'm guessing it's the 7:30-1:30 time slot.  We've been twice and the first time took the Kayak excursion (loved it), second time walked the shops and went back on board.

It can be a nice port if you have time and are willing to take a taxi or bus, but the immediate port area is small.  Nothing wrong with enjoying a quieter day on the ship either and maybe taking advantage of some port day ship deals 🙂
