Sorry I haven't caught up. Came home to no internet.  Waiting on Spectrum now. 

 

Ended up with 7 loads of laundry and 4 extra pounds of John. Better than last time. 

 

Hopefully I'll get to the last few days sometime today or tomorrow

So speaking of CK we asked our server if they ever have cream of mushroom soup there and told him that we love the mushroom soup at Chops and he said "no problem we can get some of it for you"  Well next night we are waiting an he brings us the soup and unless they changed the recipe from when I was onboard in May don't know where this mushroom soup came from.  It was more like a broth with a few mushrooms in it, NOT at all like the thick soup of Chops.  We did not say anything  Strange!!

Bummer, CK seems hit or miss.  

I do like most of the staff, though.

I'm sorry, but I absolutely REFUSE to not eat copious amounts of bread and butter on a Royal ship.... those pumpkin seed rolls are TO DIE FOR, and the cheese rolls are right behind!

Love cheese rolls, pick the seeds off the pumpkin rolls, then forage through basket for more seeds. 

 

On Mariner last year, our waiter just started bringing me seeds.

On Harmony last year, our server finally learned, and brought a HUGE bowl of rolls (like what they have the greens in at the Tutti Salad Bar) and an individual butter dish for each person at the table.

I swear the lunch menu for 5-7 is about 80% identical to day 4 dinner menu

Let's return to Day 4 - August 21

 

Last day for good lunch menu in CK so Laura and I went for one last Mozzarella wrap and chicken sandwich

Skipped the soup, flatbread, and dates. No pics, because I was charging phone.

 

After lunch headed down to the spa for Hot Stone's with the lovely Wanpen.

I was supposed to do it on Day 6, Cozumel, but she was booked. this was the only early afternoon appointment.

For those that don't know, the spa is on Deck 6, but the treatment rooms are on deck 5.  

There is a fancy glass staircase going from 6 to 5, but there is also an elevator. 😉

Guess how I get down there. 🤔  It is really a plus when you have to leave, my legs are jello

 

I get to drive it myself. 😁

 

Now, this was my first hot stone treatment, and I know there will be more.  It's around $20 extra, but worth it.

When I paid, I decided to use my $50 coupon, but she gave me another one, so I may be back.  😉

 

For those counting, I think I've now ended up on the wrong side of deck 7, 4 times already.  So embarrassing.

But I do get to walk past my favorite cabin number

Izumi - Dinner and a Show Part2

 

As mentioned earlier, we really enjoyed my birthday dinner, so we decided to do it again.

They even gave us a 30% discount, so the $49 combo ended up costing $34.30 😁

The service charge dropped accordingly, so we made up the tip to the culinary team.

 

No big group this time, us and 3 other couples.  They were nice, I forget their names.

One lady had a shellfish allergy, so they cooked her protein and veg somewhere else.

It came out kind of late in my opinion.

Everything was fabulous, and way to much. Definite food coma afterwards.

 

The egg snake followed by egg game. Most of us caught it, took me all three attempts.

When we got back to the cabin, we had our invite to the Helipad sail away. We'll likely pass, to hot this time of year.

Should have done it for sail in at Costa Maya. We would of had great views of Empress, and a nice breeze.

 

And I forgot. We tied for the win in Classic Rock Trivia. I was ready for the tie breaker, but there was none.

Spa Topia is pretty much the same as the hot stone I had yesterday, so the savings is really $50

No idea where $99 savings comes from🤔

iSkate is supposed to be choreographed by the cast, featuring their favorite music

The headphone gimics and channel changing audio effects get irritating after a while

 

It was packed, no reservations, no premium seating, but some folks still like to save seats. 

Barefoot lady held that position chasing off dozens of folks until the last minute, seriously, the last minute

 

And since it was so crowded, folks behind us had kids in their laps, fairly large kids.

They liked to kick and shake the seatbacks in front of them. Laura was not amused.

I know, it's just kids being kids. 

No it's rude and unacceptable.

There was a giant pole in the row behind us, so I figured no one would sit there.

I was wrong. 

 

Rant over. It was a fun show, other than that.

 

As we left, I grabbed a shot of the comics. JR McCollum was the funny one
