I have 13!  😂

Just as well this is my thread  😛 (which I've given up on at this stage - I hope to have a thread comparing Meraviglia's sailing to Seaview's instead.  I believe this one's gone way off-track to be salvaged now  🙄 😜😜)

13😂

i thought I was bad bringing 10 blister plasters for Jane’s new shoes. She doesn’t know I’m going to be a hero! 5 for each foot that’s 1 every 3 days 😀

our cruise has already smashed Seaview ‘out the park’ and we haven’t left yet 😂😂😂😂

New shoes? On a cruise...Jane is brave! I do have a new'ish pair I'm considering but they are already being worn with thick socks and have been 'zapped' with the hairdryer. At least I know there are blister plasters onboard if they present any problems 😂

"Zapped with the hairdryer" ????  Enlighten me, please ...

If your shoes are new and a little tight, put the shoes on with a pair of thick socks and then zap for 30secs - 1 minute with a warm hairdryer. Continue to wear until cool. Repeat as required to make comfortable 😊

Well ... every day's a school day lol.

The way my feet swell when onboard, I'll need several pairs of army socks and a couple of hours on and off with the hairdryer to stretch my footwear enough!  😱  I was reduced to wearing the slippers provided on Seaview on one particular day.  🙁

Ooh that's not good 😔 Did you try ice packs on them?

My feet are probably the only thing that doesn't expand whist cruising!

I used to bring a small, blow-up "paddling" pool that I could fill with water and ice to soak my feet while sitting on the balcony.  I may have to consider doing so again (though no balcony to do it on  😭)

This was just posted on our November 24th Roll Call. I hope it’s another MSC misunderstanding! If the photo doesn’t come through clearly, It’s an email from Joan P., Community Support Specialist at CC stating, “ We hope to expand our partnership with MSC for gatherings to other ships, but at this time Meraviglia is not one of them.”

This was sent this morning.

Posted on our Xmas sailing FB page.

Message from Meraviglia’s CD Gene Moimoi Young, regarding CC Meet and Mingles:

“Hi Guys!  We are starting with our first CC Cocktail Party in a couple of days!  See you all when you are onboard!”

We should see the sign up opening for it very soon! We’ll let you know when to register.

Sounds like they're planning to have one for the sailing on the 8th out of New York.  You have to sign up 4 days out at the latest so that they can inform the ship ... that leaves very little time!  At least with ours, it's another 10 days out from that.

The following was posted by @Boschmann on our roll call:

A Cruise Critic user posted that MSC did a CC M&M yesterday (sea day) on the Meraviglia transatlantic.  He's on four B2B's ending on Oct 18th.  He stated MSC figured out passenger names from looking at the Roll Calls and sent invites to CC members.  It was held at 10:30am in the Sky lounge.  You can see his blog here.

The following is stated in the linked blog in the above post:

Guiseppe Pane (Hotel Director) ... announced MSC’s plans for a Diamond level above the Black Card…interesting.

Now, there was a thread started on here some time back (by my good friend @Norwegian Cruiser 73) on the subject;  the OP contained a link to MSC Fans website indicating that the title 'Black' was being replaced with 'Diamond':

Here's a link to the thread where the subject was discussed:

@thecruisers6  Mark, you owe me a glass of champagne.  Here's what you posted on that thread:

I’m hearing there is going to be a higher level.....

Watch this space 😀 ...

I’m willing to have a bet on it.

By October 18th it will be announced or I will buy you a glass of Moët 😀

It comes direct from a serving Captain

So Giuseppe has said diamond will be above black! I was right 😀

Will still buy you a glass of champagne (as we have premium plus 😂)

I think they will have to wait before implementing it. It’s not going to go down well whilst chasing the $

Diamond will be above Black not instead of Black. Interesting.

I'll reserve excitement until an announcement....I'm not considering the Cap't mentioning it informally as announced. And even when I've seen it in writing I'll be skeptical...

Interestingly I had an email re our BC benefits, including a milestone award for BC - see VC rep on board. Which we have in the past but received nothing!

Well, I'll definitely have just over 40,000 points after our upcoming cruise ( ... because DH had used his CC on our last cruise so he could increase his points tally, I didn't think I'd quite make it) after UK Voyagers Club have calculated 900 points more on my account than I'd reckoned on (DH has 2000!!! more points than I'd calculated and now stands at 25,800 today).
