Pool depths?

Are the pools on the ships that sail from Florida all have 6 foot depths?

Adult pools...I believe yes.  However, on Armonia each pool has a very shallow end that is 9-10".

It's to prevent people from standing shoulder to shoulder in the pool for hours while drinking.

On the newer ships the pools are deeper about 2m or more, except for kids pools. It's as most people want to use the pools to swim and if shallow you get loads of guests standing around drinking all day.

That'll do it. Can't stand around in the pool if it's over your head.

On sea days, our June Allure cruise had folks standing right next to each other.  You could not even get by them to walk to the other side.  By noontime, the pool water was looking rather strange so we just used the pool in the early morning.  A six foot pool would have been useful.

Both main Seaside pools on decks 16 and 7 are 6ft 5" deep.. Not so much swimming as large lounge pools.

Do they allow loungers?  We have these portable ones that we bring along on travel for trips to the beach.

On our last HAL cruise,  a woman swam in the pool with a huge blow up flamingo.  She must have kept it in her room as she used it in the pool every sea day.

Now that you mention bringing a floating lounger .... that may be the plan for my next MSC cruise 😉

Don't know about some of the other ships but on the Divina, the back most pool, which is adults only is ( I think) about 4 and 1/2 ft deep. I'm about 5'9" and it comes up to my chest.

Even in the MSC pools I'd have a hard time walking to the other side even if they were empty.

I am hoping to be able to stand in pools , figure I have a 50/50 shot at 6’4” with extremely large feet 😁😁. I will find out in 7 weeks.

This July on the Seaside, in the Yacht Club, the people still stayed in the pool drinking. They just hung onto the sides. They blocked the stairs. You couldn’t even get into the pool unless you kept saying “excuse me” and wiggled your way in. The middle of the pool was empty. A float of some sort would’ve been a great idea.
